Methinks you require a tutorial on feminism, not the variant of feminism that is a subsidiary of the left wing of the Democrat party, nor the variety that only supports any secular life-style, and demands approval. I think you may find your reflection in several aspects below

Men and women often have different social-affiliative needs: women especially value dyadic bonding with other women. While men do not take their differences personally, women usually do.

By age 7, girls begin to ‘lose voice.’ To have friends, a girl must be ‘nice’ and by 8 fears being whispered about or shunned, not by boy, but by other girls (Dr. Carol Gilligan, In a Different Voice.
Girls “retract…strong feelings rather than face the consequences.” Girls learn how to express themselves carefully, passively, falsely and minimally rather than be labeled as ‘different.’ Herein lies the problem: original thinkers are by definition ‘different.’

Feminism today is often a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. Having grown up with a priority of being accepted by the group, fearing being ‘different,’ many women accept the voice of the (mainly Democrat) mainstream feminist movement of America, and deviate not an iota from its orthodoxy. The same party that claims to stand for diversity and tolerance is totally intolerant to ‘difference.’

This rigid intolerance as exercised by the movement, unfortunately, has driven away women who choose motherhood over high-powered careers, women who are American patriots, many religious women, women who do not identify themselves primarily in terms of sexual preference, and women who oppose abortion, pornography and prostitution. The outside-the-mainstream feminists hold abolitionist views about pornography, prostitution, trafficking, and sexual slavery; viewing freedom as a universal value; in short, are conservative.

I think many are still missing the point. There is a strong grass roots Conservative movement happening right now. People keep obsessing over the Anti-Excessive Government spending aspect of being a Conservative. This is true of a real Conservatives but i don't think it's the major factor involved with this Conservative resurgence. Many more young people are becoming Conservatives and that's something you don't hear the MSM discussing very often.

Many more young people are becoming Conservatives because they believe in real Freedom & Liberty. They see the Government growing out of control and becoming more intrusive in their lives. Less Government is not only about less spending. It's about more individual Freedom & Liberty. The MSM and many others really are ignoring these rapidly growing numbers of young Conservatives. I of course believe that Dr. Paul has a lot to do with more young people turning to true Conservatism. The People really do want the Government to get off their backs at this point and that's a good thing. This really is a great day for grass root politics. Go get em Mr. Hoffman!

Somehow I missed this gem of a post before, but now must respond.

1.) Oh come on, shes running for President, its just too early to make the official annoucement, lets not be coy.

2.) I sense you are referring to women? If you wanted to see someone who accompished more on their own, all you would have to do is look at the past 3 Democratic Presidents. But as far as women... Lets see, we have the speaker of the House and 25 years ago Ferraro accomplished the same feat of losing a VP race by a wide margin.

3.) Not likely. I don't see Ferraro in any sort of sainthood. And Democrat's favorite pasttime seem to be smashing Pelosi for one reason or another.

4.) Some of her conservative values are idiocy, that is true. Moreover though, her physical attractiveness isn't a particularly big selling point. I think the idiocy comes in when dealing with her constant lies and over the top rhetoric, or maybe her uncomfortable performances in the media, or possibly the fact that she abandoned her elected position for no reason whatsoever in the middle of her term.

5.) Also laughable, as if Palin is the first politican, let alone female politican to be attacked. Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Condie Rice et al would probably disagree.
