Claims that Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar and innately untrustworthy is one the most interesting claims to come out of this election season. Indeed, for a surprisingly large percentage of the electorate, the claim that Hillary is innately dishonest is simply accepted as a given. It is an accusation and conviction so ingrained in the conversation about her that any attempt to even question it is often met with shock. And yet here’s the thing: it’s not actually true. In fact, there is very little dispute that Trump has been SIGNIFICANTLY less honest on the campaign trail than Hillary. According to Politifact he is in fact the least honest candidate they’ve ever analyzed! So if the issue of honesty is really that important, why are so many people holding Hillary to such an obviously different standard than Trump?

The latest attack on Hillary's honesty concerns the email investigation. Although the Director of FBI testified to the fact that he found no evidence of Hillary lying, her opposition has maintains otherwise claiming Hillary lied to FBI and lied to congress. I think anyone with an once of intelligence would realize that if there were any evidence of Hillary lying under oath, she would be facing charges of contempt of this Republican Congress or arrested for making false statements to the FBI.

By any objective measure Hillary Clinton is not just the most qualified candidate this season, she’s one of the most qualified people to ever seek the office. Even Marco Rubio, one-time choice of the GOP establishment (and tea-party love-child) stated in a Republican debate that, “If this is a resume contest, Hillary Clinton is going to be the new President of the United States.”

I could list a thousand things Hillary did as Secretary of State but none would be considered major accomplishment because mostly what a Secretary of State does is keep little problems from becoming a massive crisis. This she did in over 100 countries for 5 years.

Now that I've listed Hillary's resume, how about one for Trump. I would really like see just exactly what he has done for America other than build homes, golf courses, and resorts for the wealthy.

WASHINGTON, June 4—Republicans on the special Senate Whitewater committee released a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation today showing that the fingerprints of the First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, were found on records discovered in the White House family quarters two years after they were first sought by investigators.

The F.B.I. report also found that the documents, copies of billing records from Mrs. Clinton's work as a lawyer in Arkansas, revealed fingerprints of five others. They were Vincent W. Foster Jr., the deputy White House counsel who committed suicide in July 1993; a personal assistant to the Clintons who had also worked at Mrs. Clinton's law firm; an aide to the Clintons' current lawyer, and two other law firm aides.

This is clearly important and relevant evidence," said Michael Chertoff, the counsel for the committee's Republicans. "It clearly means she touched these records at some point in time."

But Mark Fabiani, a special White House counsel, said Mrs. Clinton had acknowledged that she probably read the documents in 1992 during the election campaign when questions about Whitewater were being raised by reporters. He added that she had testified under oath that she had nothing to do with the documents during the two years they were missing and did not know how they ended up in the family quarters.

The bureau report did not say how long ago the fingerprints were left on the documents or in what sequence, things beyond the scope of fingerprint technology.

Mr. Fabiani said the report vindicated the White House because the F.B.I. did not find fingerprints from any of the Clinton aides who Republicans have suggested might have spirited the records out of Mr. Foster's office after his death.

"Yet another Whitewater allegation has evaporated," he said.

The whereabouts of the documents during the two years they were sought by investigators is the subject of an investigation by the special prosecutor for Whitewater issues. The F.B.I. fingerprint analysis had been ordered by the prosecutor, Kenneth W. Starr, who recently agreed to share it with the Senate panel.

I think anyone with an once of intelligence would realize that if there were any evidence of Hillary lying under oath, she would be facing charges of contempt of this Republican Congress or arrested for making false statements to the FBI.

I could list a thousand things Hillary did as Secretary of State but none would be considered major accomplishment because mostly what a Secretary of State does is keep little problems from becoming a massive crisis. This she did in over 100 countries for 5 years.

WASHINGTON, June 4—Republicans on the special Senate Whitewater committee released a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation today showing that the fingerprints of the First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, were found on records discovered in the White House family quarters two years after they were first sought by investigators.

The F.B.I. report also found that the documents, copies of billing records from Mrs. Clinton's work as a lawyer in Arkansas, revealed fingerprints of five others. They were Vincent W. Foster Jr., the deputy White House counsel who committed suicide in July 1993; a personal assistant to the Clintons who had also worked at Mrs. Clinton's law firm; an aide to the Clintons' current lawyer, and two other law firm aides.

This is clearly important and relevant evidence," said Michael Chertoff, the counsel for the committee's Republicans. "It clearly means she touched these records at some point in time."

But Mark Fabiani, a special White House counsel, said Mrs. Clinton had acknowledged that she probably read the documents in 1992 during the election campaign when questions about Whitewater were being raised by reporters. He added that she had testified under oath that she had nothing to do with the documents during the two years they were missing and did not know how they ended up in the family quarters.

The bureau report did not say how long ago the fingerprints were left on the documents or in what sequence, things beyond the scope of fingerprint technology.

Mr. Fabiani said the report vindicated the White House because the F.B.I. did not find fingerprints from any of the Clinton aides who Republicans have suggested might have spirited the records out of Mr. Foster's office after his death.

"Yet another Whitewater allegation has evaporated," he said.

The whereabouts of the documents during the two years they were sought by investigators is the subject of an investigation by the special prosecutor for Whitewater issues. The F.B.I. fingerprint analysis had been ordered by the prosecutor, Kenneth W. Starr, who recently agreed to share it with the Senate panel.

This was 24 years ago. With over 332,000,000 documents on the Internet about the Clinton's stretching back over 30 years, you can find something that says just about anything you want. However, that does make it relevant today or necessarily true.

So if the issue of honesty is really that important, why are so many people holding Hillary to such an obviously different standard than Trump?

The latest attack on Hillary's honesty concerns the email investigation. Although the Director of FBI testified to the fact that he found no evidence of Hillary lying, her opposition has maintains otherwise claiming Hillary lied to FBI and lied to congress. I think anyone with an once of intelligence would realize that if there were any evidence of Hillary lying under oath, she would be facing charges of contempt of this Republican Congress or arrested for making false statements to the FBI.

By any objective measure Hillary Clinton is not just the most qualified candidate this season, she’s one of the most qualified people to ever seek the office. Even Marco Rubio, one-time choice of the GOP establishment (and tea-party love-child) stated in a Republican debate that, “If this is a resume contest, Hillary Clinton is going to be the new President of the United States.”

What exactly is ON Hillary Clinton's "resume"? That she was married to a President? WASHINGTON, June 4—Republicans on the special Senate Whitewater committee released a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation today showing that the fingerprints of the First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, were found on records discovered in the White House family quarters two years after they were first sought by investigators.

The F.B.I. report also found that the documents, copies of billing records from Mrs. Clinton's work as a lawyer in Arkansas, revealed fingerprints of five others. They were Vincent W. Foster Jr., the deputy White House counsel who committed suicide in July 1993; a personal assistant to the Clintons who had also worked at Mrs. Clinton's law firm; an aide to the Clintons' current lawyer, and two other law firm aides.

This is clearly important and relevant evidence," said Michael Chertoff, the counsel for the committee's Republicans. "It clearly means she touched these records at some point in time."

But Mark Fabiani, a special White House counsel, said Mrs. Clinton had acknowledged that she probably read the documents in 1992 during the election campaign when questions about Whitewater were being raised by reporters. He added that she had testified under oath that she had nothing to do with the documents during the two years they were missing and did not know how they ended up in the family quarters.

The bureau report did not say how long ago the fingerprints were left on the documents or in what sequence, things beyond the scope of fingerprint technology.

Mr. Fabiani said the report vindicated the White House because the F.B.I. did not find fingerprints from any of the Clinton aides who Republicans have suggested might have spirited the records out of Mr. Foster's office after his death.

"Yet another Whitewater allegation has evaporated," he said.

The whereabouts of the documents during the two years they were sought by investigators is the subject of an investigation by the special prosecutor for Whitewater issues. The F.B.I. fingerprint analysis had been ordered by the prosecutor, Kenneth W. Starr, who recently agreed to share it with the Senate panel.

This was 24 years ago. With over 332,000,000 documents on the Internet about the Clinton's stretching back over 30 years, you can find something that says just about anything you want. However, that does make it relevant today or necessarily true.

Of course it does it does, it reveals a clear pattern of deception and a skirting of the law every chance she got.

It reveals absolutely nothing. Clinton's fingerprints could have been left there in 1992, the year she said she handled the documents. There is no way to tell how old the the fingerprints are. You can make all the assumptions you want, but real evidence is a different matter just like in the email investigation.

I doubt that Hillary is smart enough to fool 10 Senate and House investigations, a special prosecutor investigation, a grand jury, and the FBI.

I could list a thousand things Hillary did as Secretary of State but none would be considered major accomplishment because mostly what a Secretary of State does is keep little problems from becoming a massive crisis. This she did in over 100 countries for 5 years.

Now that I've listed Hillary's resume, how about one for Trump. I would really like see just exactly what he has done for America other than build homes, golf courses, and resorts for the wealthy.

Claims that Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar and innately untrustworthy is one the most interesting claims to come out of this election season. Indeed, for a surprisingly large percentage of the electorate, the claim that Hillary is innately dishonest is simply accepted as a given. It is an accusation and conviction so ingrained in the conversation about her that any attempt to even question it is often met with shock. And yet here’s the thing: it’s not actually true. Politifact, the Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking project, determined for example that Hillary was actually the most truthful candidate (of either Party) in the 2016 election season. And in general Politifact has determined that Hillary is more honest than most (but not all) politicians they have tracked over the years.

In terms of honesty, Hillary is a politician, and like all politicians she is no stranger to “massaging” and exaggerating the truth. And yes on occasion she will let loose a whopper. But is she worse than other politicians? The evidence suggests that she is no worse, and actually better, than most other politicians. Internet videos like the “13 minutes of Hillary lying” appear to be mostly examples of Hillary changing her position over several decades, combined with annoying but typical political behavior. But similar videos of Donald Trump exist showing him doing an even more extreme version of the same thing. Why is he not being accused of this type of mendacity? In fact, there is very little dispute that Trump has been SIGNIFICANTLY less honest on the campaign trail than Hillary. According to Politifact he is in fact the least honest candidate they’ve ever analyzed! So if the issue of honesty is really that important, why are so many people holding Hillary to such an obviously different standard than Trump?

The latest attack on Hillary's honesty concerns the email investigation. Although the Director of FBI testified to the fact that he found no evidence of Hillary lying, her opposition has maintains otherwise claiming Hillary lied to FBI and lied to congress. I think anyone with an once of intelligence would realize that if there were any evidence of Hillary lying under oath, she would be facing charges of contempt of this Republican Congress or arrested for making false statements to the FBI.
