Hillary - One of the Most Honest Politictians in Washington Today

Let’s take your accusations one by one.

Failed the D.C. bar exam

True. She had taken the Arkansas Bar Exam and passed it and completly flamed out on DC exam.
None

* Was removed from her House Judiciary Committee staffer job because of incompetence and lying.

False
FALSE: Jerry Zeifman Fired Hillary Clinton from the Watergate Investigation

• The Whitewater scandal.

A Grand Jury Investigation plus both a Senate and House Investigation resulted in no charges being filed against either Bill or Hillary
Whitewater controversy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

• Married a serial liar and cheater, who occasionally had sexual encounters with nonconsenting partners.

Opinion

• Lied about “sniper fire” in an attempt to simulate exposure to danger in a war zone.

Clinton still claims there was. Military says no.

• The subject of a “vast right-wing conspiracy” that led to the impeachment and disbarment of her husband

True, It would be pretty hard to argue that Republicans weren’t dead set on pinning something on the Clintons. For example, the infamous 1997 Clinton Christmas Card investigation in which Congress requested 40,000 documents from Clintons and spent 10 days probing their Christmas Card List.

• Took crockery, furniture, artwork and other items from the White House — had to return and/or pay for them.

False

Since the President is not flatly prohibited from accepting gifts from the general public, such a gift made to the President personally, and accepted, may be retained by him when he leaves office. The Clintons were never forced to return items but they did voluntarily

• Said “what difference, at this point, does it make” about four brave people killed in Libya as a direct result of her failure to protect them on the anniversary of 9/11.

It was taken Out of Context in order to ascribe a totally meaning
"Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans," Clinton said. "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?" Clearly Clinton was saying that it doesn't matter whether it was a protest or guys out for walk who wanted killed someone.

In Context: Hillary Clinton's 'What difference does it make'

• Totally ignored the structure and rules for the handling of sensitive national security information.

Director of FBI said there was evidence that they carelessly handled classified information
Statement by FBI Director James B. Comey on the Investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Use of a Personal E-Mail System

• Amassed a personal fortune with “speaking fees” and payments from private sector political donors and foreign governments into transparent “foundations” in obvious exchange for future political favor.

False:
Hillary Clinton Speaking Fees are clearly not out of line with what other political leaders, sports, and entertainment figures charge. Her $200,000 speaking fee is only a fraction of the $1.5 million Trump gets. Furthermore, there is no evidence that speaking fees were exchanged for future political favors. This is pure speculation.

So for 200 plus years of first lady's how many of those have their finger prints on file with the F.B.I. can you name them for me?

WASHINGTON, June 4—Republicans on the special Senate Whitewater committee released a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation today showing that the fingerprints of the First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, were found on records discovered in the White House family quarters two years after they were first sought by investigators.

The F.B.I. report also found that the documents, copies of billing records from Mrs. Clinton's work as a lawyer in Arkansas, revealed fingerprints of five others. They were Vincent W. Foster Jr., the deputy White House counsel who committed suicide in July 1993; a personal assistant to the Clintons who had also worked at Mrs. Clinton's law firm; an aide to the Clintons' current lawyer, and two other law firm aides.

This is clearly important and relevant evidence," said Michael Chertoff, the counsel for the committee's Republicans. "It clearly means she touched these records at some point in time."

But Mark Fabiani, a special White House counsel, said Mrs. Clinton had acknowledged that she probably read the documents in 1992 during the election campaign when questions about Whitewater were being raised by reporters. He added that she had testified under oath that she had nothing to do with the documents during the two years they were missing and did not know how they ended up in the family quarters.

The bureau report did not say how long ago the fingerprints were left on the documents or in what sequence, things beyond the scope of fingerprint technology.

Mr. Fabiani said the report vindicated the White House because the F.B.I. did not find fingerprints from any of the Clinton aides who Republicans have suggested might have spirited the records out of Mr. Foster's office after his death.

"Yet another Whitewater allegation has evaporated," he said.

The whereabouts of the documents during the two years they were sought by investigators is the subject of an investigation by the special prosecutor for Whitewater issues. The F.B.I. fingerprint analysis had been ordered by the prosecutor, Kenneth W. Starr, who recently agreed to share it with the Senate panel.
This was 24 years ago. With over 332,000,000 documents on the Internet about the Clinton's stretching back over 30 years, you can find something that says just about anything you want. However, that does make it relevant today or necessarily true.

Of course it does it does, it reveals a clear pattern of deception and a skirting of the law every chance she got.
It reveals absolutely nothing. Clinton's fingerprints could have been left there in 1992, the year she said she handled the documents. There is no way to tell how old the the fingerprints are. You can make all the assumptions you want, but real evidence is a different matter just like in the email investigation.

I doubt that Hillary is smart enough to fool 10 Senate and House investigations, a special prosecutor investigation, a grand jury, and the FBI.

Yawn. So.....the 700 FBI files had nothing to do with the HildaBeast? They turned up in HER home ;)
So suddenly the billing documents are now FBI files.

"After congressional Republicans discovered that the Clinton personnel security office improperly collected some 700 background FBI files of Republicans -- including former Secretary of State James A. Baker, former National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft and former spokesman Marlin Fitzwater -- many in Washington thought the Clinton White House faced its most serious ethical crisis yet."

Your welcome kid.
Stick with me, I'll learn ya.

My problem with Hillary has been her shocking lack of political consistency. I'll agree the PolitiFact comparison is compelling, but it fails to take into account her flip flopping on various issues. She's flip flopped almost as much as Trump has and thats embarrassing for the leftwing. I also think even now she lacks a credible progressive position on the issues.

I will say she is very strong on foreign policy. She deserves that recognition of being smarter than any other candidate this race has seen.

What's amusing, Flopper is that you think Hillary Clinton has "fooled" anyone! She hid the Rose Law Firm papers until she thought they were safe to "find" right there in her office. It's a pattern of denial...hiding evidence...stonewalling investigations...and then declaring that it's "old news" and it's time to "move on". That's Clinton scandal handbook. It's what they've been doing for twenty five years now. That's the person you want to put in the Oval Office. Someone who blatantly thumbs her nose at the rule of law by lying through her teeth and concealing evidence.

I call BS to that post!

Never seen you support anything but far left policies..
I voted Republican for years until they got into all this religious bullshit and going back to the good old days. If they ever come up with a decent candidate, I might swing back.

I agree with the ultra religious stuff. However, that does not make Hillary the most honest candidate. That is a hoot! Lol.

And why anyone with a brain should doubt this far left drones claims that they were once republican..

Well, I haven't had very many discussions with this particular poster, so I can only go on his words. I suppose I could ask him what I was asking Jake the Snake earlier, which republican party platforms does he agree with?

Well considering they support Obamacare, letting refugees in without vetting, supported Obama EO on immigration, etc. No one that was a true republican would ever support such things!

But sure why not ask!

Really?
The Republican party changed after Nixon committed treason. Generally speaking, Republicans have been assholes
raving lunatics ever since...

Check out some of the Republican party platform for 1956.

Says the 1956 Republican Party platform supported equal pay, the minimum wage, asylum for refugees, protections for unions and more.
tom-mostlytrue.gif

Here are the seven planks listed in the meme, which to today’s ear sound more like Democratic talking points:

1. Provide federal assistance to low-income communities;

2. Protect Social Security;

3. Provide asylum for refugees;

4. Extend minimum wage;

5. Improve unemployment benefit system so it covers more people;

6. Strengthen labor laws so workers can more easily join a union;

7. Assure equal pay for equal work regardless of sex.

Hillary Clinton would throw her own mother in front of a bus if it would win her an election, Billy. The reason she has a "shocking lack of political consistency" is that she is totally lacking in values.

As for her strength on foreign policy? I'm frankly baffled by what you see there. The "reset" with Russia...mistake after mistake in the Middle East? Clinton's performance as Secretary of State revealed a woman who consistently displayed a shocking amount of naivete when dealing with trouble.

By any objective measure Hillary Clinton is not just the most qualified candidate this season, she’s one of the most qualified people to ever seek the office. Even Marco Rubio, one-time choice of the GOP establishment (and tea-party love-child) stated in a Republican debate that, “If this is a resume contest, Hillary Clinton is going to be the new President of the United States.”

What exactly is ON Hillary Clinton's "resume"? That she was married to a President? That she was the Secretary of State who gave us the "reset" with Russia...a civil war in Syria...a dead Ambassador in Libya...Iran on the verge of getting a nuke...ISIS spreading terror throughout the Western world...? Or did you want to talk about her integrity? She lied to the families of the murdered Americans from Benghazi....she lied about coming under sniper fire in the Balkans...she lied about her emails...and most importantly...she's taken in millions from the well connected and foreign interests...money that she did her best to hide from the American people!

If you want a bought and paid for politician who won't change the status quo...then Clinton is your choice. Don't pretend you're getting anything else though, Flopper! Hillary Clinton puts the sleaze in sleazy!

I could list a thousand things Hillary did as Secretary of State but none would be considered major accomplishment because mostly what a Secretary of State does is keep little problems from becoming a massive crisis. This she did in over 100 countries for 5 years.

Now that I've listed Hillary's resume, how about one for Trump. I would really like see just exactly what he has done for America other than build homes, golf courses, and resorts for the wealthy.

I think Flopper needs an intervention everyone.

It is people like this that are incapable of seeing reality, let alone dealing with reality.

Does AA have programs that can help?

People like Flopper are why Hillary Clinton thinks she can do what she does.

Deep down I think even he knows that she's corrupt as the day is long...but it isn't about Hillary at this point...it's about the "liberal agenda" that she gives lip service to supporting. As long as she keeps the bullshit coming...Flopper and the rest of his crowd will keep right on eating it up with a spoon!
I could make exactly the same case against conservatives who create the bull shit about Hillary and demand investigations. The difference is you can't make your accusations stick because you don't have any real evidence. The only thing you have ever been able to prove is that she is human. She make mistakes.

She makes "mistakes", Flopper? That's your excuse for the history of scandals that have plagued the Clinton's from before Bill took office? At what point do the "mistakes" add up to someone that shouldn't be sitting behind a desk in the Oval Office?

My problem with Hillary has been her shocking lack of political consistency. I'll agree the PolitiFact comparison is compelling, but it fails to take into account her flip flopping on various issues. She's flip flopped almost as much as Trump has and thats embarrassing for the leftwing. I also think even now she lacks a credible progressive position on the issues.

Flopper
A Flip Flop is not a lie. It's annoying, but not a lie. Every politician does it because they simply change their mind on an issue or they trade off their support for one issue in order to to get something done they feel is more important. Often a legislator will vote against his own bill because he thinks they can get a better version passed or the bill has been changed so it it doesn't accomplish what he wanted it to do. However, sometimes it's a matter of beating a "dead horse".

See I don't think you could even articulate what mistakes you believe Clinton made as Secretary of State. If I asked you for a source, you would just give me some rightwing bullshit analysis from Fox News or Breitbart.

Also, Hillary has a nuanced perspective on the Middle East. The best strategy right now is for incentivizing Arab countries to take out their own trash (ISIS). Do you even know what republicans say about ISIS? "Bomb the shit out of them!" "Deploy ground troops and eradicate their brown asses!" See that's ideas a 5 year could come up with.

Claims that Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar and innately untrustworthy is one the most interesting claims to come out of this election season. Indeed, for a surprisingly large percentage of the electorate, the claim that Hillary is innately dishonest is simply accepted as a given. It is an accusation and conviction so ingrained in the conversation about her that any attempt to even question it is often met with shock. And yet here’s the thing: it’s not actually true. Politifact, the Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking project, determined for example that Hillary was actually the most truthful candidate (of either Party) in the 2016 election season. And in general Politifact has determined that Hillary is more honest than most (but not all) politicians they have tracked over the years.

In terms of honesty, Hillary is a politician, and like all politicians she is no stranger to “massaging” and exaggerating the truth. And yes on occasion she will let loose a whopper. But is she worse than other politicians? The evidence suggests that she is no worse, and actually better, than most other politicians. Internet videos like the “13 minutes of Hillary lying” appear to be mostly examples of Hillary changing her position over several decades, combined with annoying but typical political behavior. But similar videos of Donald Trump exist showing him doing an even more extreme version of the same thing. Why is he not being accused of this type of mendacity? In fact, there is very little dispute that Trump has been SIGNIFICANTLY less honest on the campaign trail than Hillary. According to Politifact he is in fact the least honest candidate they’ve ever analyzed! So if the issue of honesty is really that important, why are so many people holding Hillary to such an obviously different standard than Trump?

The latest attack on Hillary's honesty concerns the email investigation. Although the Director of FBI testified to the fact that he found no evidence of Hillary lying, her opposition has maintains otherwise claiming Hillary lied to FBI and lied to congress. I think anyone with an once of intelligence would realize that if there were any evidence of Hillary lying under oath, she would be facing charges of contempt of this Republican Congress or arrested for making false statements to the FBI.

I think you might have broken the all time "funny" record. Congratulations.

So you don't think a politician ever changes their stance on an issue because it is politically convenient? Hillary opposed gay marriage as late as 2002 when the majority of Americans were still opposed to it. If you compared Bernie's record to Hillary's, the difference is staggering.

Her mistakes are a consequence of over 40 years of public service. The only person that makes no mistakes in public service is someone who has done nothing in public service such as Trump.

Flopper
A Flip Flop is not a lie. It's annoying, but not a lie. Every politician does it because they simply change their mind on an issue or they trade off their support for one issue in order to to get something done they feel is more important. Often a legislator will vote against their own bill because they think they can get a better version passed or the bill has been changed so it doesn't accomplish what he wanted it to do. However, sometimes it's a matter of beating a "dead horse".
So you don't think a politician ever changes their stance on an issue because it is politically convenient? Hillary opposed gay marriage as late as 2002 when the majority of Americans were still opposed to it. If you compared Bernie's record to Hillary's, the difference is staggering.
Politicians change their stand on issues for all kinds of reason. I have no idea why Hillary changed her stand on gay marriage. I think you will find that most people today that support gay marriage did not in 2002.

Sure, her feelings on the matter could have evolved naturally. But who knows? It could be for either reason. However, again, comparing her record to someone as consistent as Bernie Sanders is what makes her record so concerning.

The biggest job of a Secretary of State is to make sure that small problems don't turn into big ones. So you don't hear much about the war that didn't happen, the deal the secretary made that averted an attack on an embassy, or terrorist attacks that never happen. Instead you hear all the failure in US foreign policy during the Secretary's watch. Next to the Presidency, it is without a doubt the hardest and most demanding job in the administration.

A "nuanced perspective"? LOL So let me see if I get how this works...first you allow ISIS to form because of your confused Syrian strategy and then you allow ISIS to become powerful by prematurely withdrawing US troops from Iraq. What is it that Hillary did to "incentivize" Arab nations in the Middle East to take out the trash? By not having a coherent American strategy?

Just as a hint, Billy? When someone starts throwing around terms like "nuanced perspective"...that's code for "we don't have a clue what we're doing!"

Wow...you just attempted to create a "jobs created or saved" thing to try and make Hillary Clinton's record as Secretary of State not look so god awful? So now we shouldn't judge her on the policy failures we know about...because of all the SECRET things that she did to prevent wars, embassy and terrorist attacks? Really, Flopper?:bsflag:

If there is one thing I'm CERTAIN about, Flopper...it's that if Hillary Clinton had really done any of those wonderful things? We'd have heard ALL ABOUT THEM!

You think Hillary Clinton would keep anything like that secret? You really are naive!
