Last night Hillary had an 'Obama' Russian Foreign Policy Debate Moment, eerily yet slightly similar to the Obama-Romney Russia debate moment, a moment in which her denial and / or naivety (ignorance) was exposed.
When Romney ACCURATELY warned that Russia and Putin was a force to be reckoned with, Obama made a joke and laughed it off at Romney's expense...only to be embarrassed and out-maneuvered over and over again as President by Putin. Last night it was Hillary's turn. In response to a question from Anderson Cooper about whether or not she - like Obama - underestimated Vladimir Putin’s Russia during her time as Secretary of State, Hillary responded with 'a statement that would have made Gerald Ford blush'.
"Hillary attempted to explained away her failed diplomacy with the Russians by pretending that Putin was truly out of power during President Obama’s first term, when Putin was serving as “Prime Minister” of the country instead of “President” in order to skirt term-limit laws that he eventually just threw away. Close observers of the situation, as well as casual observers, all knew that Putin was still really in charge during the brief presidency of his ally Dmitry Medvedev." (Remember the 'Medvedev Whisper' Moment? Obama thought he was 'off-mike' and whispered to Medvedev that once he was re-elected he would be in much better position to be flexible...and concede to whatever Putin wanted, which he did. “I will transmit this information to Vladimir [Putin],” Medvedev said, confirming that Putin was still in charge. Guess it was 'easy' for Obama and Hillary to miss that.)
'Threat Recognition' has repeatedly been proven to be one of the Liberals' weaknesses. Obama laughed at Romney only to be 'schooled' on the foreign stage by Putin. Hillary attempted to downplay Putin's power by either denying Putin was always in control or suggesting that no one could have seen his 'Prime Minister' role for what it really was. Mush like Obama, is seems Hillary is trying to play checkers with Putin when the game is Chess....and she either knows nothing of her opponent, as Obama did not, or doesn't care. Either option is frightening.
