Since you posted this on the INTERNET it must be true. That said, I know two business owners who are not evil - one sponsored my little league teams for 12 years - and though I don't know their AGI I do know both voted for Obama. There is more to life - or should be - than accumulating great wealth and harboring resentment for the working poor. But that's kinda sorta a Christian Value, one which seems alien to the callous conservatives who dominate this message board.

The rich are selling their homes mostly to wealthy foreigners from Russia and China. Russians in the east and Chinese in the west. Then the rich are buying new homes, just not in the US. Foreigners don't pay income or capital gains taxes in the US. The state gets their few bucks in property taxes. Actually, anywhere. They could generate the same income if they lived on a yacht permanently traveling the world. The super rich, more than any other group are tied to no one country. Companies are now multi national, investments are made in world markets. When the US suffers the inevitable economic failure, the rich will be long gone. Not only the super rich, but the middling rich too. Eduardo Savarin renounced his US citizenship and moved to Singapore. Do you think his investment income will be less because he no longer has a US address?
