Actually being a lawyer one would expect you to actually know the law the Supreme Court ruled that a weapon is ONLY protected by the 2nd Amendment if it is OF USE to the military. But automatic weapons are illegal with out special permission and illegal still in 17 States.

This has me very worried because the European nations are important allies. Not only can we not count on them as it is, it won't be long before their armed forces will consist substantially of Muslims.

NO, actually, they don't. The thing is, they count these things different. We count assault only if there is some kind of grevious harm. They count every pub fight as an assault. They count every unwanted grope as a sexual assault, we only count full penetration, if we count them at all, because rape is woefully underreported in this country.
