Here We Go Again: Cuban Missile Crisis Redux

1962: Remember how JFK "faced down" the Russkies? (The real story is that they wanted OUR missiles out of Turkey, so they sent some to Cuba and then made a deal to remove them from both countries. Oh, by the way, we also agreed to leave Castro in power forever.)

Sound familiar? Fast forward to 2013: Putin wants to keep his naval base in Syria (which requires that Assad stay in power). So a chemical weapons attack is staged so that Obama can pretend he is the world's savior and Assad stays in power.

Why do we keep electing these naive fools?
