I went with none of the above.

So did I but that is only because the terms were not defined and it is quite obvious some of us do not agree on what the definitions are. (That is not counting those who are just having fun with it and didn't even try to get it right.)

So without knowing whether we are going with dictionary definitions or European definitions or modern day American definitions, I figured 'none of the above' was the safest vote.

I reserved the right NOT to vote. ;)

You sit slightly to the Left of Pol Pot.

Delusion, thy name is Liberal.

Whatever, guy.... I think we've already established you are an economic retard.

Joe, you're not somewhat liberal, you're pretty much very liberal on economic issues. Hey, be proud of what you belive in. And I say this because you attack corporations and capitalism ALOT. Somewhat liberal is you like the min wage, but you dont wanna tax the corporations into bankruptcy, as an example.

Um, guy, let's set a few things straight.

What we do in the United States no other advanced democracy does. They aer all "capitalist", but they haven't turned their economies into casinos for the wealthy.

I attack corporations because I think a lot of them are out of control. They no longer understand their place in the social contract.

The thing is, once upon a time, Republicans got this. Under Ike, the banks were strictly regulated and the wealthy paid a top marginal rate of 92% and Ike didn't do anything to change this. He wasn't a "commie", he just realized that when you have a huge concentration of wealth in a very few hands, really bad stuff follows.

Okay, who gave me shit up thread about what I would count moderates as? And now y'all are questioning who is actually moderate?! Maybe they are 'left' in your perceptions because the right got dragged SO hard right that the moderates landed left. Might that be what you're seeing?

So we have less rich people than during Ike's time? you want people to pay 92%? how do you think jobs are created? And who would set the salaries, because I want to set my own, can I do that? IF you dont like your job, get a better one, if you have the tools you can, if you dont, then you're probably not worth the extra money.
I mean Microsoft, made ALOT of people rich, even the secretaries and such, is it bad? And if they make good money get a job there. Heck I would if I could, but I dont have the resumee, so I'm back in school since a BS degree is just that BS.

Id say there are more righties on here, but who cares, I fight with liberals in about 4 threads at one time, it's fun exposing them.

"Left" and "Right" have essentially come to mean nothing at all, as far as I can tell.

So where's the watermark?

Not sure what you mean.

Well it can be confusing, but the right is capitalist and lower government until it hits anarchy. the left is socilist and more government until it hits utopian socialism, which is the same as anarchy, just depends on how you look it it. Those are the very general depictions, but historically it was pro or anti monarchy (pro was right, anti left)

I dunno what the ratio is on this site. In my opinion its the message that matters the most anyhow. If any given message has merit it will bare fruit. Otherwise its just another wackaloon thread. Like nearly all of rderps or tdm's.

Not really.

Or rightwingferret, or sniperfire.

Sadly its the dumbest threads by the dumbest posters that get all the attention so what does that say about us as a group?

Only Marxists use the phrase 'in the social contract.'
