The accusations against Thomas supposedly occurred on Federal Property, at a Federal Agency, involving Federal Employees.

Thus the FBI has jurisdiction in the matter.

None of the current accusations supposedly happened under federal jurisdiction, so the FBI has no reason or legal ability to be involved.

You don’t get it. Hill/Thomas was a federal issue. This didn’t. No one changed their mind. There is no hupocracy.
