HAMAS & the HOLOCAUST

"Educators" in Gaza have some hard and fast ideas about education ... it must not be taught!
The Holocaust - according to Hamas - is "a lie made up by the Zionists" which "contradicts and is against our culture, our principles, our traditions, values, heritage and religion" and "harms our history and civilization as well as our people's culture." Really.

Furthermore the teaching of the Holocaust to Palestinian kids represents "a kind of normalization with Israel and an attempt to bridge the psychological gap between Israel and the Palestinians" and went so far as to characterize the possible introduction of the subject into Gaza schools as a "war crime." Yeah ... they actually said that, too.
It is hard to imagine a people as fucked up as these "educators."
P/S - UNRWA denied it had plans to include the Holocaust in their curriculum.
Allah forbid!

Protesting what it said were plans to teach eighth-graders in U.N. schools about the Holocaust, the Hamas-affiliated
Popular Committee of Palestinian refugees sent an open letter to the chief of UNRWA offices calling the Holocaust "a lie made up by the Zionists"...

The interior ministry of the Hamas de facto government in Gaza expressed astonishment over the UNRWA curriculum's acknowledgement of the Holocaust." "We reject teaching our pupils such thoughts that contradicts with our Palestinian beliefs,"

The head of Hamas' education committee in Gaza,
Abdul Rahman el-Jamal, said that the Holocaust was a "big lie."

Hamas spiritual leader
Yunis al-Astal said teaching children about the Nazi genocide of Jews would be "marketing a lie", and characterized the possible introduction of the subject into Gaza schools as a "war crime."

Hamas spokesman
Sami Abu Zuhri said that Hamas rejects any attempt to introduce the Holocaust into the curriculum as "a kind of normalization with Israel and an attempt to bridge the psychological gap between Israel and the Palestinians.

Jamila al-Shanti, a Hamas legislative official, said: "Talk about the Holocaust and the execution of the Jews contradicts and is against our culture, our principles, our traditions, values, heritage and religion."

Mustafa al-Sawwaf, editor of the Hamas-run newspaper
Filastin, said the U.N. "should also be prevented from implementing this destructive policy that harms our history and civilization as well as our people's culture."

Why do you get to say what should and what should not be taught?

If Hamas or anyone else wishes to teach history based on what is known and point out the known lies with the official story, how is that a problem?

In other words, just because Americans and Europeans are taught to believe the Jewish narrative of WWII, why should that be imposed on the entire planet?

Check this out, a few years back the ADL, themselves pointed out that only 54% of the world has even heard of "the holocaust" and out of those who have heard the term, only 33% buy it.

You didn't mention that it is illegal to teach about the Nakba in Israeli schools.

So, what is the difference? You blame Hamas for being like Israel?

So, why all the whining about those who don't believe in the so-called "nakba"?

So, why all the whining about those who don't believe in the so-called "nakba"?
Both are historical fact. I don't understand the arguments.

So, why all the whining about those who don't believe in the so-called "nakba"?
Probably because, sweety, those who don't believe in the so-called "holocaust" are thrown in jail in so called free nations.

And to call people whiners who were slaughtered in mass in an event where everyone able to survive was then forced to leave their homes or face the same fate is abhorrent.

Food for thought, dear.

The OP clearly does not understand this topic and obviously hates the Palestinians, much like yourself.

He states, "It is hard to imagine a people as fucked up as these "educators.""

For me, "It is hard to imagine a people as fucked up as his "educators.""

That rambling bit of incoherent babbling doesn't address the so-called "nakba" as an arab-islamist attempt to foist their failed decision making and poorly chosen policies on others.

Palestine was a civilian population under military attack. I don't see where any choice was an option.

You need to address that with the Arab-Islamist invaders who crossed the frontier.

...The Holocaust - according to Hamas - is "a lie made up by the Zionists"....
If this is true, what if they are just saying that there has never been any credible evidence that has ever been presented that proves that millions of Jews were exterminated in gas chambers?

Would that really matter? What are they actually saying? That is the question.

Why are Islamics whining about some so-called nakba?

You didn't mention that it is illegal to teach about the Nakba in Israeli schools.

Probably because its not.

Technically, maybe not, but...1948 no catastrophe says Israel, as term nakba banned from Arab children's textbooks
Wow! shusha is wrong again, lol. And let's not forget that in Israel, anyone who finances even commemorating the Nakba is liable. This speaks directly to the genocide of the native people of Palestine (who never existed, according to Israel's shills).

Beyond that, what an elegant way to show the hypocrisy of the OP.

Teaching the Holocaust myth in schools is wrong.

It's the same as teaching the children to believe in Santa Claus or Big Foot as proven fact. ..... :cool-45:
Teaching myths as fact is definitely wrong. I think everyone agrees there. It's just that some believe that traumatizing young children with stories about millions being marched off to gas chambers is a good thing.

Wow! shusha is wrong again, lol. And let's not forget that in Israel, anyone who finances even commemorating the Nakba is liable.

Do you ever read the source documents for the claims you post? Apparently not as you are woefully ignorant. At least Challenger reads. Sheesh.

Here is the relevant text of Amendment 40 of the Budget Foundations Law:

...he is entitled, to reduce the sums earmarked to be transferred from the state budget to this entity under any law:

(1) Rejecting the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state;

(2) Incitement to racism, violence or terrorism;

(3) Support for an armed struggle or act of terror by an enemy state or a terrorist organization against the State of Israel;

(4) Commemorating Independence Day or the day of the establishment of the state as a day of mourning;

(5) An act of vandalism or physical desecration that dishonors the state’s flag or symbol.

In other words, the State of Israel will not fund that portion of an organization which undermines the existence of the State of Israel. This seems pretty reasonable.

First, note that it makes nothing illegal -- it only removes funding. Secondly, it has not been used, to my knowledge, though most of the articles I read on it are years old and I'm not sure if anything has changed. If anyone has more recent articles, please post links.

But most importantly, note that it does not reference the Nakba nor forbid discussing the events of 1948 nor make illegal a recognition of the experiences of the Palestinian Arabs.

There is a difference between the Nakba being a remembrance of the suffering of those who fled and were expelled during the conflict and the Nakba being a day of mourning and continued resistance to the existence of Israel. The former is and should be taught and recognized, while the later should not.

Teaching myths as fact is stupid.

It is more stupid for you to keep trying to derail this thread with obvious propaganda. And the kind of stuff that is not even designed to fool the least critical thinkers.

Later.

I know, right?! The NERVE of me to post the content of the actual source documents. I'll have to thank my Hasbara instructors for teaching me that little trick, huh?!

Nothing to do with the topic; your zionist bullshit does not matter here.

SHOULD WE TEACH OUR CHILDREN THAT MILLIONS WERE MARCHED TO THE GAS CHAMBER WITH NO SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE?
