Greta Thurnberg

Global warming causes extreme temps. If it makes it warmer in one place, it may make it colder in another place.

Why don't you ask a Climate Scientist that question? Or, why don't you accept their answer? Who are you to argue?

Let me ask you Republicans a question. Why would you argue to burn coal and oil when green energy is cleaner? Cleaner air. Forget global warming. Why are you for dirty air that's giving us cancer?

LOL!!!

None of the "climate scientists" want to "answer" the question, because the answer RULES OUT both Co2 and Sun as cause...

You have a BEAK and a BIRDBRAIN, not a clue...

She stuck her face into the public arena ... we've the right to throw rotten tomatoes at her ...

Did you know that sea level is falling in Sweden? ... or more correctly, Sweden is rising now the weight of the ice sheet is gone ... Port of Stockholm will be high and dry ...

I want to know how a 2-mile-thick sheet of ice covered Chicago when Chicago was more than 600 miles from the north pole?

Actually it wasn't 2 miles thick. It was at the northern part of Canada where it originated....

That question has been answered a hundred times. The North American Ice age started in Northern Canada and moved south. Chicago is one of the places where the Sun melted it. See the map for the 50th time, and try not to forget it...

North America 1 million years ago....

Your second chart looks as if ice already covered the entire state of Illinois by the time the Laurentide sheet got down there.

Ellesmere Island still is within 600 miles.

Northern Canada looked a lot different before the ice age. Those glaciers dug out a lot of stuff and that's why boulders ended up on top of hills in the midwest.

Ellesmere Island likely was not an island 30-50 million years ago, but rather part of a larger land mass than we see today.

That's the data. When Yellowstone erupted 600k years ago, it left an ash trail all over. But the ash that landed on ice did not end up getting buried for us to find it later. The Yellowstone ash map helped to map the glaciers...

That's all it takes to cause 1-2 mile thick glaciers on top of Chicago?

Don't care. I want to know why we had glaciers 20,000 years ago and have none today?
You said the only thing that matters is distance from the pole. How has the distance changed enough in 20,000 years to change things?

The second chart is also marked "earlier" meaning 30-50 million years ago. That was the point where the ice that originated in Northern Canada melted. 1 million years ago that point was Indiana and Chicago because NA moved SW starting around 30 million years ago.

As Greenland proves, a continent specific ice age that starts on land within 600 miles of a pole will push glaciers way past the polar circle before they melt, and that takes under 2 million years....

Do you think she is brilliant or crazy? Certainly no one could accuse her of being insincere or hypocritical. She even refuses to fly because planes burn much fuel

The WEF promoted her to be the best educated spokesperson to rail against Manmade Global Climate Warming Change!

Like ESG, Zelen$ky or Dylan Mulvaney, she's the latest Thing

I think she is autistic, and not too terribly smart.

But, she is perfect for those who are abusing her.
Right you are, westwall, per a general consensus.

Greta Thunberg opens up about Asperger’s diagnosis: ‘Being different is a superpower’

'I have Asperger's and that means I’m sometimes a bit different from the norm'

Additionally:

From Web M.D. com

What is Aspergers called now?

Today, Asperger's syndrome is technically no longer a diagnosis on its own. It is now part of a broader category called autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This group of related disorders shares some symptoms. Even so, lots of people still use the term Asperger's. Jun 22, 2022

North American Ice Age

They melted during the time the ice on Greenland pushed the Viking farmers off...

Any way you slice it, Greenland froze while North America thawed.

Co2 and Sun eliminated as suspects...

North American Ice Age

Right, when Chicago was far from the pole.
Ended when Chicago was a tiny bit further from the pole.

They melted during the time the ice on Greenland pushed the Viking farmers off...

They melted well before the 1300s.
How many Vikings on Greenland 20,000 years ago?

Any way you slice it, Greenland froze while North America thawed.

Any way you slice it, we had ice sheets thousands of miles from the pole.
How is that possible under your "scenario"?

The right will demonize anyone who goes against their agenda. The right, or Republicans, defend big oil and our worst corporate global polluters. It's just what they do. So of course they are going to trash this young woman.

She's right. We need to stop destroying this planet. And the truth is, we are moving away from fossil fuels. Maybe not fast enough but the entire planet gets it. The only ones fighting it are the global polluters. And they lobby Republicans to deny global warming is real. Meanwhile, the oceans are toilet bowls full of plastic, sea ice is melting, NASA says yes it is real, and Republicans are at war with Science. They did the same thing for tobacco and lead gas.

Anyways, so they are going to mock her, ridicule her, call her stupid, whatever. She's the face of our movement and we love her.

She didn't want to get Al Gored. Al was for going green and the republicans never let him forget he owns 5 homes and flies on private jets.

It's the progressive left that has the agenda, dumbass.

We want to be left alone.

How has Ms Thunberg actually bothered you? If you had not watched news coverage about her, how would you even know she existed?

Global Warming.

You see, we modern humans with our modern technology are so destructive the Earth, that the destructive impact of our technology goes back retroactively, for tens of thousands of years before we created any such technology.

We had crazy ass powers back before humans could even write.

Shame on us.

And also the dinosaurs for all of their fucking SUVs.
