And half of NE Japan is still swirling around in the PAcific. A garbage pile as large as Texas.. There were BIGGER losses in that disaster than Fukushima.

Tell ya what... IGNORING all those 65 yr old nuclear plants sitting around past their prime is just not smart.. But right now -- they are supplying 20% or so of your electricity.. Reliably and safely..

There was some unexpected incompetence in the mgt of that plant. As indicated by the refusal to accept help DURING the crisis. The operators and volunteers are all heros. But some of the key industry flaks and some politicians need to be trashed.

They pretty much don't have a choice but to build the waste disposal on that site for the rest of the containment and clean-up.

There are no other real alternatives. You be played. You cant run advanced societies on "maybe" power generation. Stuff thats on one hour and off the next. If thats what youre waiting for ----- and u believe co2 is apollutant ---- the worlds gonna burn before wind and solar provide more than 20% at best with costs u havent even been told about yet.
