Near record low Unemployment in Wisconsin, and now this. Nice job.

Apple-supplier Foxconn will announce a plant in Wisconsin on Wednesday evening, accompanied by President Donald Trump, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a source with knowledge of the announcement told CNBC.

U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., will also be present at the announcement in Washington, a source said. No exact location for plant has been chosen — but southeast Wisconsin is under consideration, according to a source.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Foxconn may be eyeing a new U.S. plants for display panels.

Will that replace all the jobs Carrier sent to Mexico, after promising not to and accepting big subsidies from Trump?

Great negotiator, that Trump. however, maybe Trump didn't have a hand in this deal, so it might not suck.

I give Scott Walker a whole lotta credit too. He inherited a horrific Democrat mess. Now look at Wisconsin. It's about to experience record-low Unemployment. It may dip below 3%. Scott Walker could be Wisconsin's greatest Governor ever.

Amazing how the Democrats desperately tried to lynch Scott Walker. It just shows how they don't care about the People. The man has been a miracle-worker for Wisconsin. It's only about 'Party before Country' for the Democrats.

Are you bitter that Trump won and is making America great again?

Walker cratered the Wisconsin economy and exploded the state deficit.

Meanwhile, next door in liberal Minnesota, the opposite happened.

Nothing fails as reliably as conservative economics.

Isn't this the same company that has promised this before?

yet we in Wisconsin have to borrow billions to fix our roads. not to mention walker is increasing state aid to schools big time...which isn't such a bad thing as most of our schools do well minus some in Milwaukee. Madison is kicking butt. Go Badgers.

Hey, maybe they can smuggle cheese in their products like the Mexicans smuggled marijuana in their Fords.

He should have been our president

Yeah, he really has been a miracle-worker for Wisconsin. The Democrats left him a terrible mess. But look at Wisconsin today. If the Democrats had gotten their way, and lynched him, Wisconsin would be an awful disaster today. He really could be Wisconsin's greatest Governor.

hopefully we are on our way to catching up with Minnesota....too many young folk go there.

The new Foxconn plant in southeast Wisconsin will cost 10 Billion and hire at least 3,000 to start with a potential of 13,000 employees.....not to mention all the side business it will create.....amazing what some tax incentives can do.......great job Scott Walker...

Next-door neighbor Illinois just increased their state income tax by 30%.....no wonder people are leaving that Dim-infested state and moving north......

Yeah, imagine if the Democrats were successful in lynching Walker? Wisconsin would be an awful disaster at this point. Scott Walker may go down as Wisconsin's greatest Governor.

1 company announces investment and republicans proclaim Trump a God.

Hundreds, probably thousands invest under Obama and it's "slowest recovery ever."

Well, i'm not only giving Trump credit. I think Scott Walker deserves a big share of the credit too. He really has been a miracle worker in Wisconsin. The Democrats left him a miserable mess. Wisconsin is now on the verge of experiencing historic record low Unemployment. So Walker deserves much praise.

Before you guys go all GOP celebration on the WH lawn, you should know that this company has promised to build a factory here before (PA), but backed out and never built it. This was back in 2013.

WHAT IS FOXCONN'S RECORD?

Foxconn has promised to build plants around the world and backed out. Foxconn promised in 2013, for example, to invest $30 million and hire 500 workers for a new, high-tech factory in Pennsylvania that was never built.

___

HOW DOES FOXCONN TREAT ITS WORKERS?

Foxconn has struggled to meet high safety and other standards expected of consumer electronics brands while keeping costs low. Its Chinese plants making Apple products, especially, have drawn attention for worker suicides, accidents and labor disturbances. Labor advocates say the company imposes excessive overtime and pressure on workers, especially when it ramps up production ahead of new iPhone launches. Foxconn CEO Terry Gou has raised wages and pledged to prevent more deaths.

And, there's also the little fact that the groundbreaking isn't scheduled to even start until 2018.

May have something to do with 8 years of Obama presidency and little to nothing to do with Trump's 6 months (though its 4.5 months if you dont count all the trips to his golf resorts)

Yeah, but this time they're being given $3 Billion by the good folk of Wisconsin.
I suppose The Takers will still complain.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on Thursday defended his plan to give a $3 billion tax break over 15 years to convince Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn to build a $10 billion LCD flat screen factory.
