i got neighbors....o do i have them....when the house near us came up for sale...i begged my man to buy it...what did he say...no, didnt need two homes blah blah blah...well he is reminded of that....when the coondogs start howling at 2 am..

so last time i go over to neighbors at like 6 am...after listening to his dogs all night...turns out i pick the morning after his mother has died to go and bitch.. (i didnt know) but what does that have to do with his dogs barking all damned night?

so i am over there bitching about his dogs when he says my cats are pissing on his atvs.
well my cats are neutered and dont have that smell like a male cat..also said my cats were getting the garbage etc...of course it turns out it is not my cats but one from up the street.

they also throw trash in the creek...nice real nice...

they are a bunch of foul ass coon hunting red necks....

so tell me about your least favorite neigbhor.....

As I started the transition from a marginal neighborhood in '91 into something more middle class I used to have a continuous stream of neighbors from hell.

Bikers, Oxicotin-cowboys, section 8 gypsies tramps and their neglected children, back yard mechanics who thought the ground was their toxic waste dump, pit bull owers who like allowed their dogs to terrorize the cats and the kids .. you know...good down-home white trash.

But the steady rising prices of houses in this town brought more stable (and more folks from away, too..they have money, you see?) people in, so now my neighbors are pretty stable people.

I now find that I am the most senior continuous resident in my neighhood.

Given that from '69 to 91 I must have lived in fifty different places, finding that I am now the most senior resident in this neighborhood is rather shocking.

A neighbor with a dog or dogs that bark are probably my number one bitch. I always wonder why "THEY" can't hear them. But I have zero tolerance for it. I call the cops. The cops get called enough times and they start getting a fifty dollar ticket for every time the cop gets called on their dogs barking. Hit 'em in the wallet. That usually has a profound effect. Luckily now I have great neighbors, and NO DOGS!

I like the one on the right side of me and hate the ones on the left.

The ones on the left are boys and they are loud. They have turned their music down after I addressed that issue but they come in at 4:00 am drunk and giggling. I understand they are young and they just want to have fun but sometimes they're annoying.

The one on my right is an older man and very nice and quiet. :)

Old people make excellent neighbors...they bake you cookies, fix your car, give you food from their garden...I miss the couple that used to live next to me. I'm okay will all of my neighbors with the exception of the pit bull next door.

I love my neighbors..... of course we have alot of space between us....

the guy next to us has 10 acreas and the guy behind us has 6 acreas so they are far enough away to be good neighbors.

When i first moved here, i had a little adjusting to do, hearing my next door neighbor and his 2 sons out in their field and woods practicing shooting their guns...target practice....and i wondered if it was legal or not to shoot or practice shooting on their own property....but apparently it is ok?

Anyway, then i saw a pack of coyotes in the meadow across the way....and so did my neighbor, he drove to our house and asked if we saw them too....then proceeded to say if they come near our house let him know and "he would take care of them"!

At that point i got his phone number on speed dial and i feel as if i got my own armed security guard now....since matt and I still haven't gotten a gun yet! I would dial him before 911 if i were being robbed or for anything like that.....!!! And honestly, i am extremely greatful now that he has a houseful of guns!!! And NEVER in ALL MY YEARS of life, would I have thought i would feel this way...never!!!

Things are so different when you are living among the wild, in rural areas.

My neighbor also has all kinds of toys, like snow mobiles, 3 wheelers, tractor, and snow plow.....and he comes and clears the snow on our driveway and our private road without charge, in any major snow fall which is a huge plus!!!

And if we ever got in to a really bad storm, he has the snow mobiles to get around, if necessary....so, YES, I love my neighbor!!!

care i live in the country too...but damn those barking coonhounds...i dont mind the musket loading practicing....which is a huge boom...every few minutes...they are not that close...i couldnt stand living right on top of people...

my neighbor is not a cat person and apparently he is getting some real bad stuff back from his previous treatment of cats....he went to one guys house and left his window open to his truck..the guys cat pisssed all over the cab.....as long as he leaves my cats alone we will be fine....

since the big blow up...we have talked...he knows which cats are mine and admitted it was not them...
he is not longer trying to "live trap" my cats.. which is a damn good thing...cause i told him i would rain down hell on him if anything happens to either of my cats

he knows i have never called the police or anything like that..and for that he is very thankful

get this...my neighbor is cursed..his whole family is...*big smile*

seems they tangled with a witch...alice whitehead...many years ago...and she cursed the whole damn family....said they would have short lives and go mad before they died....so far...she is spot on.

so naturally they are real skiddish around witches.....*evil laugh*

He is very nice. He chats a little when I see him but other than that, he likes his privacy. He hasn't made me any cookies yet..

I asked the landlady to get another older person next door before the boys moved in but one of them is her grandson. When I called her about the music, she said she had warned them before they moved in to be quiet. 2 minutes after I hung up the phone with her, the music was turned off.

They are nice boys, I guess I don't hate them. I would like it if they moved though.

Call Cesar Milan about the Pitt, that guy is amazing.

I have a cat as well, and worried that she might snoop on over to our neighbor's property and get killed somehow by one of them shooting but i no longer fear that....one he is a cat person, not a dog person and 2 my cat hasn't left the immediate area of our house since she got here....she was a city cat before, so all of this "in the wild" stuff scares her and if they are practicing shooting, she is at the back door lickidy split, to go back inside....

my neighbor that backs up to us, (he has his own private road to his house and doesn't share ours so i hardly ever see him), but he has a dog that he leaves chained outside in the summer and sometimes he goes through some howling fits in the day when his owner leaves for work...and it is slightly annoying....more pitiful than anything, i actually feel sorry for the poor thing....i can't see him because we have alot of woods in between but honestly, his crying when his owner first leaves has tempted me to go on over there and pet the poor thing to calm him down... :(

But, the dog doesn't bark at night!!! Thank God!!! If he did, it would drive me bonkers!!!

Care

i try real hard to get on with everyone....realizing i have two large dogs that are free to roam..they normally stay home..but i know they like to visit another neighbors house who has dogs...what can i say...they both like the female dog next dog....

so this neighbor calls me up and tells me..that regular as clockwork...my dogs are on his porch at 5 am...each day...we had to make some adjustments to that time frame...

My neighbors are great. We had a problem with his landscaper a while back because the guy graded his driveway drainage into my back yard. I confronted the contractor and he basically threatened me (some big dumb guy with a shovel in his hand, whouda thunk). My neighbor acted like he didn't know what was happening so I just went back in the house, got my camera and took the pictures I took of the property lines when I bought the house, and they clearly show the drainage from his driveway going to the his back yard, not mine. He again pretended that I didn't know what I was talking about, so I told him that when my basement floods I'll be calling my attorney, and I left. Ten minutes later he's at my door apologizing and he instructed the contractor to regrade per my instructions. That was 4 years ago and now he invites me over and asks me to make martinis for him with his Bombay Sapphire; we get shit-faced.

It's legal to shoot coyotes up here in Wisconsin anytime care, on sight. There's a lot of them and they kill livestock, sometimes just to kill it, not for food. People up here buy varmint caliber rifles just for hunting them.

I'll bet shooting them up there in Maine is the same as here.

That's how it is in Kansas too. I learned to shoot hunting varmints because my dad said if I could hit them I wouldn't have any trouble with deer. And I think he wanted to start me on something smaller caliber-wise.

I get along with my immediate neighbors ok. It was hard getting used to the noise of shared walls but I'm an understanding, compassionate person.

Now my neighborhood OTOH... not so great.

Shared walls- yuck.

When I was in college living in the dorm I had these two "footballer" neighbors. They came in as Freshmen from the same high school- big red flag right there. They'd party till early morning and make all kinds of noise. When I confronted them, they basically told me to pound sand.

So I got together with a few other neighbors and we decided on a new rule: "late night = early morning". So when the footballers woke us up late at night we set our alarms for 6:15 and had a game of "schlong ball" in the hall, with their door as 3rd base. Well the biggest one comes out screaming at us at the top of his lungs, and there's four of us as calm as can be, grinning ear to ear, and I inform him of our new rules. I'll never forget what he said in response: (screaming) "I was drunk- I can't be held responsible for being loud." We all started laughing as hard as we could and he went back inside and slammed the door.

But did this work? Not with these fuckers- they just got worse.

One day one of my friends found out that the smaller one scored a try-out for the JV team early one Saturday morning. Mr. Big had made arrangements to stay somewhere else so Smallie could go to bed early and catch up on a month of partying. Well we had other plans of course and had the loudest party, starting right after dinner on Friday night, in my little room next door. I had these stereo speakers made from 6x9 car speakers in wood boxes and I had them turned facing his wall and turned way up loud- for hours and hours. Finally at about 10pm Smallie comes out and literally begs us to stop. We all laughed and told him that "it was still early on a Friday night man- let's party!" His Biggie friend came up about an hour later and threatened us, and we just laughed at him. We kept it up for several more hours, and played ball against his door and generally got as loud and rowdy as possible.

That fucker failed his try out the next day, and they both flunked out of school that first semester.

My neighbors are great. We all talk and help one another. And for those loathsome white people who like to categorize everyone: I've got the white professor that lives on one side of me and Nicaraguans on the other side. Farther out are the black neighbors, the Mexican neighbors, the Korean neighbors, the gay neighbors and the white rednecks. We all get along just fine.

my closest neighbour is pretty hot..but out of her mind..I think shes some kind of escort or high end call girl she has the little tiny dog fashion accessory..she constantly knocks on the door sometimes as late as 2am if she sees a light on...to ask for a cigarette !!. she ask in the sweetest seductive manner but if I say no. she threatens me and curses me ...even like a half hour after i will hear a voice in the distance shout out stupid fucker blah blah blah...the cops are at her house at least once or twice a month but i have no idea why..and nothing ever comes of it..she just flirts with them and they leave
or maybe they are clients of hers...the next morning if you see her she is all friendly and charming again like nothings ever happened...now i just open the door and give here the finger and slam it in her face if she knocks on the door late at night...then listen to her rants...they are actually kind of amusing and creative insults .. kind of entertaining ...but if its a reasonable time i give her a smoke...what the hell....eccentrics can add a little color..could be worse
