Now that there is ObamaCare, say the GOP, then first job one is Repeal! Then nothing is supposed to happen after that!

GOP divided on how to replace health overhaul law - Time Warner - Finance

Anyone notices that "No!" is still not a form of exercise. Doing nothing at all is also not a form of exercise. Offering nothing is not even an agenda.

"Don't Know" is also not a form of exercise. Their Senate Candidate in Delaware at least managed to call them, "lazy."

Why is it liberals think the ONLY way to solve anything is to have the government fuck it up more???????

(You're right, I don't usually use the F word, but it seems so appropriate for what the government does to anything)

Well here is the GOP bill to replace the current law. http://gopleader.gov/UploadedFiles/...rnative_Health_Care_plan_Updated_11-04-09.pdf

It promises lower healthcare cost but only offers only tort reform and purchase across state lines as a way of reducing cost. This won't even come close to lowering premiums.

It keeps the high risk pools that are in the current law as a way of providing universal access but does not provide for universal coverage since there are no subsidies, which means most of the 50 million people without healthcare will remain so and there is no reason to expect that number will continue to grow.

It encourages insurance companies to allow dependents to remain on their parents policy to age 25 but does not require it.

It does not close the Medicare donut hole.

It does not increase costs but it also does not reduce the deficit and it does not solve the problem.

The costs and impact on the deficit of the current law according to CBO which is nonpartisan are as follows. The GOP of course has made their own predictions.

The current Law:
Cost:

$940 billion over ten years.
Deficit:

Would reduce the deficit by $143 billion over the first ten years. That is an updated CBO estimate. Their first preliminary estimate said it would reduce the deficit by $130 billion over ten years. Would reduce the deficit by $1.2 trillion dollars in the second ten years.
Health Care Reform Bill Summary: A Look At What's in the Bill - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Conservative Republicans, even on CNN September 19, tend to belittle Europeans because they have been our allies in years gone by. The progressive, Christian Democratic parties are not well-liked by theTea Party GOP. Their health plans and benefit programs are not well-liked by Republicans. The electing Tea Party, of the GOP, is now famously, and widely regarded: As two factions being now one. GOP Is All Tea Party, apparently even down to the belief in Satanic Forces, and the rituals about them.

Possibly, the will set about burning one another at the stake.

The Democratic Party, national health plan, tends to rely on market forces, and payout cost-controls, creating a basis level of medical care requirements: In any number of plans.

Many understand this.

12 Reasons to Support Health Care - Stand Up for Health Care

The Republican Despisement of market forces was most notable in the widely touted, and supported, bail-out of billionaire bankers. In all good humor, the bankers did pay it largely back, with interest: In less than 18 months. The Tea Party GOP is all about belief in those bail-outs.

The Republican Conservatives actually explain it: They wanted to send a message to the markets that the billionaire mega-bucks, at the expense of the poor, the elderly and small business credit support: Were intact, after all.

(The Holy Father apparently knows about Her Majesty's new Conservative, New Austerity, for the Royal Household budget. Apparently the Holy See needed to know if the boys were OK, given their own point of view!)

Can anybody explain to me what reporting purchases over $600 to the IRS has to do with health care?

The reporting requirement of $600.00 purchases to IRS already exists for services. In the Health Care legislation. it extends that to goods.

Republicans generally tend to be fiscally irresponsible. Examples are Ronald Reagan's first-ever $1.0 tril. federal deficits, and George Bush II's $1.0 tril. un-funded basis-free slaughter of U. S. troops in the field in Iraq, and the $0.75. tril. bail-out for the billionaire banker bonuses to encourage less new credit for small business owners.

Anyone notices that Republicans are clearly in opposition to pay-as-you go in government operations.

Anyone notices that Republicans spent all those months opposing any lending to any small business owners anywhere in America!

The extension of an existing revenue provision in the law helps with deficit reduction, and is contained in the deficit-reducing, health care legislation.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Republicans understand Deficit Reduction to be like sending in Long Knives, Led By Yellow-Hair, into Little Big Horn to be slaughtered, just like basis-free invasion and occupation of Iraq! They all die, and get pay and provisions no more! That is what America means to Tea Party, GOP!)

There is no "GOP bill to replace the current law" because the GOP has no power in Congress.
Obamacare's "savings" are a joke. The cost is estimated at over $1T and will obviously go up. It will not reduce the deficit, it will increase it.
And every day some new aspect of this monstrosity comes up, whether its college's unable to offer insurance to students or companies having to submit 1099s for purchases.
No wonder the Dums have passed the most unpopular, hated, piece of legislation probably in history. But this is what happens when you circumvent normal legislative process, as the Dums did to get this crap through.

Yeah, look at the ME War. 9 years and it is still fucked up. We need to send Bush back over and find those WMDs.

Yeah, the right has not done anything in two years. That is over a billion in wasted tax dollars. Help Dems cut costs, elect Democrats to replace dead meat rightys.

Well I couldn't agree more. Welfare Republicans thought they should get free Health Care from cradle to grave. Face it, fixing people costs more money every year. Just look how the VA medical care has increased for the last 8 years. Tsk!

Do you think SS was perfect when it started? Problem with Reublicans is they have never done anything, so they have all these mythical perfection ideas that wouldn't work even if Dems let them get close to the work.

No wonder the Dums have passed the most unpopular, hated, piece of legislation probably in history. But this is what happens when you circumvent normal legislative process, as the Dums did to get this crap through.

Unpopular? Millions love it. The millions that don't believe in Death Panels & Palin as the next president.

Just wait for the rise in the share market, the day Obama leaves office.

Bush came into office promising to end a recession. He tried tax cuts. They didn't work. The federal income taxes had already been cut, and nothing was left to cut, except for the rich. That didn't help.

Osama bin laden, Saddaam Hussein, and the Taliban helped. Al Qaeda was never engaged.

Bush left office in the worst downturn since the Great Depression.

The Democrats promised change, and change is even the subject of this thread.

So...how are the Republicans going to fix things? Where is their "Plan"?

Republicans should start by not appropriating money for Obama Czars and impound any unspent "Stimulus" funds.

They could then impound the czars.

Anytime someone mentions Czars you know they watch too much Glen Beck. As if Czars are a new thing that Obama started, lol.

Did anyone claim that? Or is that just a strawman?

No one claims he started it. But he has relied on them to circumvent normal procedures to a dizzying degree.

Did I ever claim that anyone HERE stated that Obama was the first to use Czars???

Apparently in High School, the Republican, Delaware, Senate candidate was dating Osama bin laden(?).

But hey, its a free country, and unsavorty people can be friends, too! In fact, the announcement was even made on TV!

The Republicans are mainly famous for sending Osama bin laden into comfortable exile in Pakistan. That then raised uncomfortable issues for Pakistan, so the U. S. sent in lots of money. Anyone sees where this is going. The Republicans finally just sent in all they that they had left--plus money that no one had at all-- to the Wall Street Bankers, too!

Even Ronald Reagan knew a thing or two, about: "Aw, The Hell With It!" The Democratic Vice-President, from Delaware, in contrast: Is more into deal-making, for hundreds of millions(?)!

So it's mainly health insurance money, that is even paid for. It's still a deal that was . . .welll. . .. . . . made.
