No Liftoff: Obama's Plan Grounds NASA

Obama Budget Plan Grounds NASA Despite Increased Funding - TIME
How old was that article? And since then, how many private rockets have been developed from privately owned companies? Republicans have been calling for that since Reagan, but it was Obama who actually did it.
Do keep up.

Who is to blame for grounding NASA?

Do keep up, moron. Have you figured out why you're viewed as a clown yet?

Did you flunk commie training camp???
(Saul Alinsky's 12 Rules)

"“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels, Nazi propagandist.

Now admit your tactics.. We all know.

the GOP status as Majority of both chambers of Congress started in January of this year

the word "continue" tells us that its been this way for some time; and in fact reading the article tells you it has been this way for five years

my God rdean you come here everyday and just make a fool of your self as a rabidly partisan loser just regurgitating stuff you have obviously been spoon-fed

“Unfortunately, for five years now, the Congress, while incrementally increasing annual funding, has not adequately funded the Commercial Crew Program to return human spaceflight launches to American soil this year as planned,” Bolden said in a letter sent to Congress on Aug. 5 and acquired by the Houston Chronicle.

from your article

From the article:

The International Space Station is one of the only major stakes NASA has left in the manned space game, and post shuttle it will be the only one. For a while the U.S. won't even have a way to go back and forth between the ISS and earth without hitching a ride on a Russian ship. The station was proposed in 1984 and has been under construction since 1998, and so far not a lick of truly valuable science has come from it. Its intended mission has changed and changed and changed again over the years, from materials manufacturing to zero-g experiments to astronomic observations to studying human adaptation to space flight. And what were the new ideas Bolden cited on Monday? "A broad array of biologic, materials and combustion research," the administrator said, in addition to addressing "practical medical questions about astronaut bone density and the effects of radiation." In other words, more of the same.

The above clip from the article indicates to me that NASA has lost direction. Really, what is our desired direction in space? Go to a Moon that is by all measures nothing more then a pock marked cinder ball? Go on a suicide mission to Mars? Continue with a space station that has little or no value? If I were to create a space station it would be in an orbit that took it around the Moon and back. At least that way we might be able to glean some sort of useful information. Or have in an orbit the circles Mars. It could be the new "death star."

Hey folks, I see a whole lot of stuff that needs fixing on space ship Earth that could use a lot of that money.

It also sounds as if private enterprise is going to pick up some of the slack, as it should and always has.

Conservatism is easy to mock, just as has been done here.
U.S. NATIONAL DEBT CLOCK

The Outstanding Public Debt as of 05 Aug 2015 at 07:51:09 PM GMT is:
$ 1 8 , 1 5 5 , 1 3 2 , 0 0 8 , 1 6 2 . 6 3

The estimated population of the United States is 321,120,903
so each citizen's share of this debt is $56,536.75.

There's only two ways to balance a budget this far out of kilter.

a) Increase revenues (raise taxes)

b) Cut spending.

I know of no third way.

So this thread criticizes Obama for being fiscally conservative, sacrificing a tad of U.S. national pride, and saving $Billions in the process.
That may not be a formula you like. That's fine.
But let's tell it like it is. It is fiscal conservatism. And we fiscal conservatives appreciate Obama for it.

Of course let's not blame Obama, anything that has happened in the last 7 years is well beyond his control. He is merely a figure head.

even easier to mock is an idiot pretending to be a fiscal conservative trying to give a guy who has expanded th National Debt by more than $8 trillion credit for being fiscally conservative

the OP blames the GOP for not fully funding a space project that his own source says is basically useless. and the funding part ws debunked in the article by noting that it's beenthisway for five years; when Congress wasn't "Republican"

then an idiot pretending to be a fiscal conservative disagrees with the original poster and says Obama limited spending on the program, and gives him credit for being "fiscally conservative"
