Biological organisms evolve. They react to chemical interactions and environmental pressures. Mechanical components do not.
I can't explain the precise process. There are are number of obvious paths which science can study and those paths are being investigated. At least with science investigation, we have a chance at finding the truth. Not so with partisan beliefs in gods. The order of arrangement is due to their chemical properties. In the case of carbon atoms, (carbon being the basic element of life), complex molecules can form spontaneously, and these complex molecules can influence each other to create even more complex molecules.
