Global Cooling Theory picks up Steam

Ok, one more time for Kosh:

Human civilization is not significantly more than 12,000 years old. Current temperartures are by far the highest during that period and , as YOUR graphic shows, higher than at any sustained level in the last TEN MILLION YEARS.

Can you stop ranting long enough to think about what that actually means?

Read it again, carefully this time.

How long (sustained) do you think those OTHER interglacial peaks were? Ian just told you that..

Oh -- forgot --- you have issues interpreting graphs..

You couldn't pay me enough money to convince me of this global cooling this fucking summer. Jesus fucking Christ it is hot!

:(

Heat is regional. The majority of the US is cooler than the norm. You and Old Crock think that just because it might be warm where you are that everyone is.. You have perception problems.

Mr. Billy Bob, since when does the Northeast and a bit of the Midwest compose most of the US? From the crest of the Rockies west, it is hotter than hell. Alaska is in a major heat wave with fires to match that heat wave. Our fire situation will soon be the same. Someday your silly lies are going to catch up with you.

That's OK Matthew. You could be looking at 100 years of wearing your parka in June... :eusa_dance:
Mr. Flacaltenn, That has the same chance as a snowball in hell. You guys have been predicting cooling for many years now, when the fuck do we get some?

Again -- I'm not predicting it. But the MET is !!! And they've given it a 50% chance in the next 50 years. (waiting on the next 2 sun cycles.) THat's BIGGER than a snowball's chance in hell -- aint it?

Have you looked at the evidence? It's pretty compelling.. Perhaps I'll post some charts..

So -- this is what the fuzz is all about.. Normal sun cycle spacing is 11-12 yrs. Rare to see
the spacing go out above 13 or 13.5 yr. Yet -- that's what's happened recently between cycle 23 and 24.

Sun cycle period SHORTENING is associated with climate warming trends historically. LENGTHING goes the other way to cooling. As has happened in between the last two cycles.

But the big focus is on the eerie similarity to the sequence of Solar cycles NOW compared to the entry into the Dalton Minimum in the Late 18th Century. Here's our modern pattern superimposed on the Dalton Minimum.

Pretty neat to watch. Pattern matching not definitive until the NEXT cycle -- sometime in 2024 - 2030. At that point -- if the sun goes quiet -- things could cool down quite a bit relatively quickly..

You guys watch the ice melt graphs --- I think this is more interesting..

In other words, in spite of the melting ice, in spite of the continued setting of heat records, just ignore all that, and bet on a Dalton Minimum.

Record setting heat is crap. There's record setting heat in particular locations every year since we've been keeping records. Overall, there's no warming for 2 decades. Phil Jones said it first and the Met Office confirmed it

hey old rocks, why don't you just turn your A/C off and lead. . .

While your at it stop listening to John lennons "Imagine " over and over again, it's killing brain cells in you.

Either someone is playing games, or the extremes in Alaska are really getting out there.

It's the backside of the polar vortex. Or the backside of the volar portex. Or the backside of something...

Sun cycle period SHORTENING is associated with climate warming trends historically. LENGTHING goes the other way to cooling. As has happened in between the last two cycles.

The Ice graphs will show the cooling before it becomes wide spread as the poles will be affected first with the decline in down welling thermal radiation. The South Pole is at greater angle away from the sun so it always leads in cooling but about two to three years after the North Pole will surly follow, and it is.

The NASA prediction is geared to continued warming and they do not want to see the cycle lengthen as it will herald major cooling. The worst part is, they know it and yet they lie about it.

You simply can not get around the alarmist agenda. It pays to well for stateist's and socialist thieves.

Dont know how sophisticated guys like you fall for some kind of data glitch and crap your britches without checking. If you push that link right now, the highest high in the 10 day forecast is low 60s.

Somebody went on vacation and forgot to set a timer. Or NASA GISS has intercepted the streams while everyone is on vacation. :2up:

Interesting stuff. I have to admit, I believe in man-made CO2 caused warming. I have seen the area I live in become warmer and dyer, with occasional extremes in rain or cold snaps. These observable changes came over a blink of the eye, 20 years, in geological terms. My basic understanding of this that such changes take hundreds if not thousands of years to effect the climate. But 20 years? Something's fishy in Denmark. How long is this solar blurp going to take before we notice it? I will entertain this phenomena, because science is about facts, not dogma. Forgive me, but this seems like a stalling tactic or avoidance scheme more than science. But, it puts crack in the Global warming theory.
