Thought the IPCC said there was no solar forcing on the planet's climate since 1850..

Nailed me. But this new theory is slowing bubbling up thru the ranks. The pattern of 11-12 yr solar cycles that we are seeing now bear a good resemblance to the last time the sun went quiet..

Well, I don't know what 70 kl is, but the USGS states that it has grown an average of 80 ft per year since 1895. Of course, it retreated 38 miles from 1120 to 1895.

No, it is not. A beginning referance point is needed, and that serves as a good one. It does not tell you what the climate and temperature will be where you are, but it does indicate that it will be changing, and probably warmer.

Yesterday Dude --- you ask me what scientist was denying that that are long lags, and integrations of heat forcings. NOW -- you are doing just that.

Quite possible you take ANY forcing to the climate and let it plateau and the temperature COULD continue to climb for DECADES or a century afterwards.

That's what I'm skeptical about. (What else is new?) The only reason the MET made those comments about AGW winning out over a cool sun was that they are using the exact same models that UNDERrepresented natural effects such as the sun.
