No one's boycotting Beck. His advertisers all seem to be pulling out of his show though.

Retailing giant Wal-Mart and seven other companies pulled their ads from his show, organizers said.

Among those bailing on Beck: GMAC Financial Services, Best Buy, CVS and Travelocity.

A total of 20 companies have pulled their ads in the last two weeks, Color of Change says, including Geico, ConAgra, RadioShack, Men's Wearhouse, State Farm, Sargento and Procter & Gamble.

Judging from Monday night's broadcast, there were plenty of companies eager to fill the ad slots, including The Wall Street Journal, DirecTV, Honda and Oprah Winfrey's Oxygen Channel.

I advertise my business on the station which airs Beck and my ad rep said that I couldn't get an ad in Becks slot for 4 months... what's more, the local mix for Beck's television show on Fox is locked out... which means the card is blocked solid for six months of greater.

But I wonder how many people tune in to watch Beck's meltdowns. He's like the Howard Beal of the talking heads. Even O'Reilly knows when to shut up and loudly exclaim "GOTTA BREAK HERE!!

Lets hope so. Fox is all about money. If enough sponsors leave, they will drop him, ratings or not.

Has it occurred to you there is a difference between free speech and outright lies?

Possibly with a little public push these companies have finally come to realize they cannot support pundits that get on TV and outright spread lies and misinformation to Americans.

Of course there is a difference between free speech and outright lies. Outright lies are a type of speech. Free speech is just the medium through which we are allowed to say what we think.

However, Glenn hasnt lied. I dont think the man is capable of it. He is going to say what he thinks when he thinks it. Simply because you dont like his point of view or what he is saying doesnt make him a liar. It doesnt make him insincere.

If anyone is spreading outright lies, its you and others like you who cant concieve that someone may look at the world differently then you do so you have to smear them. Because you cant intellectually respond to what their are saying.
