Rating dictate advertising. Not the other way around. So Walmart takes a stand, maybe Target will jump right in to take that business! I truly think Color of Change's (lead by a self-proclaimed socialist) campaign is going to backfire and provide a huge jolt to Beck's ratings. I personally don't watch or particularly like Beck, but I am more inclined to watch him because of this bullshit leftist squeeze on the first amendment. Left support the 1st amendment for their message, when its not their message, they shoot it down!

You know I personally don't like what I am hearing from the right-wing pundits on Fox or the radio when it comes to healthcare. I think they are using propaganda, but I don't want to silence them. Because in America we have the 1st amendment!

Any business that pulls their ads just because of controversy for a talk show host, even if I disagree with the host, is not a business I trust. Two reasons, it means they don't believe in the one thing I do, free speech. Second reason is that they are not too bright if the viewership of said host is still high, and I don't buy anything from stupid businesses.

I don't watch Beck, I'd rather hear a chainsaw gnawing a log right next to me. I do patronize Best Buy, did today as a matter of fact, bought me a laptop.........typing on it right now......I have a GE dishwasher and a wall oven, in one of my kitchens, it would be hard to avoid Proctor & Gamble or SC Johnson dessert topping /floorwax........doncha think? I watch NBC and MSNBC. Geico is cute with the gekko, don't use them however. Walmart has lotsa junks I like and they have vampire hours and I like that. That's exactly it. Rather than challenge what he's saying these nutjobs attack him personally, and little snippets taken out of context, that have nothing to do with the subject matter.

If these businesses were so righteous they would pull their business from FOX. There are lots of sponsors who will advertise on Becks show and I wouldn't be surprised if FOX is actually benefiting from these boycotts by getting additional sponsors who will use that time slot.
