Geroge Carlin was a realist.

Anyone remotely familiar with his material and style understands that his schtick was about life, and politics played a relatively small part in that.

If one were to evaluate his materials in detail, I suspect you'd find that his lampoons were directed at the stupidity of people regardless of their self identified political persuasion.
