General Assembly Votes For Palestinian Right To Self Determination

Friday December 21, 2012 04:54 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies

"With an overwhelming majority, the United Nations General Assembly voted for the “Palestinian Right To Self Determination”; the vote passed by 179 votes while only seven countries, including Israel and the United States, voted against, and three countries abstained"

General Assembly Votes For Palestinian Right To Self Determination - International Middle East Media Center

Now, why would any nation vote against such a Resolution, when this is a right granted by international law, with intl legal authorities being in unanimous agreement that this is a right of Palestinians for decades now?

Sherri

The Israelis deserve a lot of blame for how the situation in Palestine has evolved over the years. But legally recognizing the Palestinian "right to self determination" means granting international legitimacy to a people hell-bent on genocide and dedicated to bringing war to the west and western philosophies. In the future that may be a feasible idea but not while the middle east remains littered with hostile and unstable countries driven by primitive religious zealotry.

In the end it's a meaningless vote anyways as the UN is on the US' payroll.

The Palestinians have had the legal right to self determination since 1922. Their rights have been violated since day one.

The Jews have had the legal right to self determination since 1917. The Arabs have been trying to take away their rights long before that :clap2:

Now, we all know the Jerusalem Post is just a Zionist propaganda rag!

So, we will have to see those suicide bombings to believe they are starting back up, it has been over 5 years since one occurred, after all!

But not Ayrabs.

Palestine, when Jesus lived there, was filled with many different peoples of many different bakgrounds, Jews, Romans, Samaritans, Caananites, what marked the land and Jesus encounters was that there was diversity, many different people lived in the land of Palestine, mostly living peacefully with one another. They all belonged to the land.

The Arab Palestinans are the descendants of the Palestinians who lived in the land when Jesus lived there, they simply converted from Judaism or other religions to Islam or Christianity over the centuries.

They have a right to self determination, they are the indigenous people of Palestine!

So, Frau Sherri, was Winston Churchill lying when he said the Arabs came in droves from their poor surrounding countries when the Jews had jobs for them? Apparently this Arab American Christian disagrees with you.

Jews to no one's land

Palestinians already have a state, it's called Jordan. The last thing the world needs is another Islamic terrorist shithole.

Pure bullshit. There was no Palestine during Jesus's time and the Arabs in no way shape or form have anything to do with ancient Jews. They are invading Arabs from neighboring Arab lands, identical culturally and genetically to them, who started calling themselves "Palestinians" as of 1967. To call today's Palestinain Arabs descendants of ancient Jews, would be to call the entire Arab nation decendents of the same. Just another hoax and historical revisionism perpetrated by Islamofacists.

The closest relatives of ancient Jews are the Middle Eastern Sephardic / Mizrahi Jews who fled Arab animals in the 1900's, and now they and their descendants comprise majority of today's Israeli Jews. Along with their European counterparts who have been proven through scientific genetic tests to be related to ancient Jews, I'd say the Jews are home.

We all descend from the same ape species that evolved into man, and we all originate in Africa, then spread across the world through the ME. So we're ALL descendants of people from that region. You're just cherry picking a date and stoping there. Pretty random.

If we evolved from apes then the apes should be extinct, right. Why are there still apes, Ima Darwin?

The tree of apes had several branches. Just like there are tons of breeds of dogs. Get it?

No, I really don't get it. Which branch of apes did we descend from? Any earthly idea? I would think you could be from the baboon family. Or at least a spider monkey. I don't claim any of them.
