Game Over

Relax, there is good news.

The people broke up the dictatorship and sent a senator to washington to stop the madness.

It was in all the papers.

LMAO,
Partisan faith is pathetic.

I recall hearing similar stuff in 2000.

Your simple mind continues to expose itself.

What am I 'partisan' for genius?

Your faith is this one guy who posed nude to straighten out our government.

Now that is pathetic.

It must be the nude pics that get the con males going for that guy.

Good. maybe we can do that for unions too. Particularly public sector unions. Maybe we can also end all outside money donations too and cut Chinese nationalist money out of the picture before it makes it to Buddhist temples or George Soros' usual channels.

You libs can insert your favorite conservative boogymen too. I'd like to see all outside money ended.

That would be fine with me as long as the corps do not get to flood our elections with LIES right before an election.

This is the thought that has been running through my head for the last 24 hours.

Game Over, this country is soon to be dead.

The great American experiment with democracy is done.

I have been tellinig you for a few years that the golden age of America is past.
So shall we chisel the tombstone?

Or should we just use an unmarked pauper's grave?

All or none.

Why is it libs can't get that concept. If corps shouldn't get it, neither should your unions. Hey just think! You wouldn't have been able to put those damn teacher union paid ads out there, but John Kerry couldn't have been swiftboated.

Butch up Sally, you got the "All" option.

USCITIZEN I have a great compromise idea that you might like.

This may have been suggested already but here goes.

Lets put a cap on the maximum amount an individual can donate to a campaign. For the sake of this I'll say its $5,000.

Since corporations are individuals they are not allowed to donate or spend more than $5,000 on a campaign.

Seems simple enough to me, what say you?

I love the idea.

Except I think 5,000 is too much

And what about the Truth? Are they allowed to tell the people that before an election?

Or are you the only one allowed to speak to the public, whether its a lie or not?

sounds great to me.
They are 1 "individual" so the same limitations as on real individual.

Exactly. That would make it a lot easier to accept IF that is the case.

It makes too much sense for congress to even think about it though :( ;)

but by limiting the amount you can give wouldn't that be limiting how loudly you can speak?
;)

The great American experiment with democracy is done.

With that I assume you mean "Obama has lost!" Thanks.

We have problems , Obama and his progressive movement are not the answer anymore so then when Wilson had them.
The People are the answer, and the people united can never be defeated.

I've always believed this, though the past year has given me doubts. Truth is, in the end the 'people' will have their way. Whether it's ending slavery, forcing the president to war, (See Spanish-American) or flipping their previous 'statements' by votes, 2008. I do not remember the electorate 'lighting up' like they have in the previous months. Both the administration and Congress thought they could ignore, luckily perhaps for the democratic party, the MA election gave them a wake up. Will they heed it?

I think it would be easier if they just capped their whole campaign to $10,000 TOTAL EACH

Anything else would have to be equal debates.
