France passes law imposing up to two years prison for running pro-life websites

feb 17 2017 PARIS, France, February 17, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The French National Assembly has adopted legislation to make what it calls “spreading misleading information” about abortion punishable with up to a two-year prison sentence and a fine.

The law specifically targets “electronic” and “online” means of spreading information with the intention of dissuading women from ending their pregnancy, but its wording is not restrictive. By and large, any person or group aiming to call public attention to the dangers and risks of abortion will be potentially at risk of prosecution.

It is the latest in a series of pro-abortion laws that have made “voluntary interruption of pregnancy,” as the French euphemism goes, a purely elective and 100 percent publicly-funded “fundamental right” since socialist François Hollande came into power five years ago.

OP is a lie.

They aren't imprisoning people for running pro-life websites.

They are making it illegal to LIE about abortion risks.

Thank you Obama for giving away the internet. Hello UN censorship. I guess that means we can't tell the French/UN that fetuses feel pain as early as 8 weeks. And that ripping a fetus' leg off feels like having their own leg ripped off. It is barbaric and is being used by the UN to control global population.

Educate. It works.
A side note. The Roe in Roe vs Wade died today. She spent her life trying to prevent abortion. She never had one, and never intended her name to be used as a justification for the deaths that have followed.

It appears just about anything a pro-life website would include could be considered "spreading misleading information" to these people. Therefore the OP is correct. It would be impossible to have any substantive information against abortion.

The Ministry of Health responded by putting up a government information site on abortion that is limited to providing details about access to the procedure. It also characterizes as "misconceptions' the allegations that abortion can have negative side effects and cause health problems or psychological consequences.

The sickest thing of all is how elective abortions are even a violation of the United nation's own "Universal Declaration of Human Rights"

Preamble
Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world. . .

It should be amended to say "members of the human family who are still in the womb are fair game for violations by all." Or, words to that same effect.

Those are misconceptions. Doctors explain any medical risks as they do with any surgery, prior to the consent forms. Anti abortion websites greatly exaggerate those risks, which are less than those associated with a live birth, including the psychological risks which can be frightening for sufferers of Postpartum Depression.

We had a member of our church throw herself in front of a freight train after being discharged from hospital after treatment. Her son was 6 months old. Her daughter 4 years.

No woman I have known throughout my life has attempted suicide after having an abortion. I have known more than one woman who has attempted suicide in the throws of PPD.

Basically these sites can offer support and resources for those wanting to carry their babies to term but they have no business trying to frighten women or terrorize them for making one of the most difficult choices a woman ever makes.

Then you cannot say ANYTHING against abortion. What could you say?

I can introduce you to at least two women who have sought counseling because of suicidal thoughts following an abortion, if you like.

Abortions are a woman's private business.
Bull shit. All men are created equal... its in our constitution. Sperm hits the egg... created.

Adopt an embryo then. Until then, it's not your business.
Yeah. It is... I swore an oath to defend the constitution, and what it stands for. So like it or not... it is my business and I'll continue making it my business, until the slaughterhouses are out of business.

Are children's rights contingent upon whether or not we are willing to adopt them now?

Where is that written in the Constitution?

Where does the Constitution refer to embryos?

Yeah. It is...

No, it isn't...

No more than your vasectemy is my business.

Does a vasectomy result in the lifeless body of a child?

An abortion does.
