Foxconn. OK, we lied.

This is a bigger argument than this one case. What we see here is a company making grand promises to get huge socialist programs to finance them from the taxpayers. They promise the world but realities are far different.

Foxconn Finally Admits It Won't Create 13,000 Jobs in Wisconsin

This is why I fully supported AOC coming out and telling Amazon NO on their demands on taxpayers funds. There was no way their promises were ever going to come to fruition. It's odd at how those who condemn government socialism so quickly support things like this.

If you have a business, the taxpayers should never be on the hook for your costs.
It was about tax breaks. Not receiving tax payer funds.
Who do you think makes up for the missing revenue? The tooth fairy?
thats on the government to cut spending not bill someone else,,

So when the business wants an exit ramp to their business the state should say "build it yourself"?

When the roads need upkeep the state should exclude the companies trucks from using those roads because they were exempt from paying the taxes used to pay for that upkeep?
those are for the workers that pay taxs,, but youre right the government shouldnt be helping the people get to their jobs so they can pay taxs,,

in this case the end result is no jobs and no taxs,, good job government,,

The business was built. They just didn't live up to their promises.
in business there are no promises,, just whats in the contract,,

if they breached that the state should sue them,,

They should never do these kinds of contracts.

So you are saying that a company receiving tax subsidies from state and federal governments isn't the same as them receiving tax payer money??

Then how come all of the whining about state and federal government subsidizing stuff like Medicaid?? I have heard that referred to many times as people getting taxpayer money for free healthcare
You are comparing tax breaks to medicaid subsidizing?
These businesses are also being subsidized...you do understand that right??
Keeping more of your money isnt being subsidized, you ridiculous dumbfuck.

If you have a business, the taxpayers should never be on the hook for your costs.

Donnie Deutsch was on MSNBC the other morning railing against AOC driving Amazon out of New York. He kept talking about how "transformative" that investment would have been to that whole area, and she drove all of that "transformative change" out of the City. Well of course she did, and she was right in doing so!

AOC wasn't working on behalf of Amazon, and one man's "transformation" is an entire neighborhood's destruction. The neighborhood whose voters elected her to act on THEIR behalf, to protect their neighbourhood - one of the last affordable working class neighbourhoods in New York.

Many would be displaced from their homes by "eminant domain" to complete the land assembly necessary for the construction of the headquarters. All would see their property taxes rise dramatically to pay for the $9 billion in tax breaks to pay for the additional roadways, subways, public transit corridors, and other infrastructure the City of New York promised to provide Amazon for free, to locate in that District.

These people already have jobs. They're not going to be working for Amazon. But the "transformative" arrival of New York will destroy the homes and the lives of all of the people who voted for AOC. She would have been derelict in her duty to represent her constituents to do anything other than help them defend their homes and their way of life.

And a pox on people like Donny Deutsch, and his private helicopter, who think that preserving neighbourhoods for WORKING AMERICANS, was the "wrong" thing to do.

see, demofks have no clue how a private business works. They don't get that the more employees working means more tax revenue to the local and federal governments. They just don't get that at all. not subsidizing a civilian with welfare, and instead having that individual working and paying taxes is the conservative objective. Will always be the objective. If the demofks would get the fk out of the way, we'd have many more thousands of tax payers. But alas, they haven't a clue in the entire world.
