Fox is most trusted because it features debate while MSNBC is least trusted because it features propaganda,i.e., no debate!

While FNC is very rightwing... its news division is actually quite good.

MSNBC and the other MSM make no pretense of being unbiased with heir news coverage or otherwise.

Their news coverage is actually news coverage and they have some very right leaning journalists. OTOH, their evening pundits are liberal.

The biggest and most important difference is that, legally, fox is not a "news" network. The others are.

Fox should never be included in the list of news networks because, LEGALLY, that is not what they are. They are LEGALLY an entertainment network.

Only the most stupid and partisan would actually believe they can get their "news" from fox.

I don't watch either. Both have an agenda... fox is purely for the wealthy and corporations... pro employer... anti worker stance also is annoying.

You really need to learn how to read a poll. Of course fox drones are extremely protective of fox and will say it is the most trusted, but the rest of the country doesn't That's why fox is both the most trusted and the least trusted cable news channel. As far as debate, cutting someone off while you scream talking points is not debate.

That must be an easy race to win when it has been scientifically proven that Fox viewers are the least informed when compared to any other viewing group.
In fact, they're actually less informed than non-viewers of tv news.
The poor dumbasses just don't know any better.

That's just science...please don't shoot the messenger.

of course if true you would not be so afraid to present your evidence. what does your fear teach us about the character of liberals.

Sorry, I thought everyone knew it...being Science and all.
On average, people correctly answered 1.6 of 5 questions about domestic affairs.

They found that someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer 1.04 domestic questions correctly compared to 1.22 for those who watched no news at all. Those watching only “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” answered 1.42 questions correctly and people who only listened to NPR or only watched Sunday morning political talk shows answered 1.51 questions correctly.

In terms of international news, people correctly answered an average of 1.8 of 4 questions.

With all else being equal, people who watched no news were expected to answer 1.28 correctly; those watching only Sunday morning shows figured at 1.52; those watching only “The Daily Showfigured at 1.60; and those just listening to NPR were expected to correctly answer 1.97 international questions.

It is a follow-up to a 2011 survey of 612 New Jerseyans that found, among other things, that those who watched Fox News were 18 points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government than those who watch no news at all.

yes I recall that one, it was tota;y idiotic it compared 24 hours of fox news to 1 hour of Daily Show and Daily Show was a tiny bit ahead as if that proves something. A fair comparison would be 24 hours of Fox against 24 hours of Daily show. And since daily show does not present news you have to take into account what other sources viewers of both used.

See why we say a liberal will be slow?

I don't recall Walter Cronkite ever debating anyone on his news program, and yet he was not only the most trusted television news journalist, he was the most trusted American. Maybe, just maybe, integrity is more important than ratings, eh?
