Fox News has an Angry Grandpa freakout: Obama is making them irrelevant - Salon.com
(snip)
It’s easy to poke fun at Bill O’Reilly’s freakout over President Obama sitting down with Zach Galifianakis on his satirical Web series “Between Two Ferns.” On one level, it’s a typical case of Angry Grandpa just not getting it – Did he really say “Abe Lincoln would not have done it”? Why, yes he did – but it’s more than that. It’s a case of an entire political demographic panicking over how irrelevant they’re becoming, and how Obama is hastening their passing. To be honest, some in the mainstream media had a comparable reaction to O’Reilly’s – without O’Reilly’s surreal Abe Lincoln reference and right-wing angst.

Heres the interview where POTUS is reaching the younger demographic: Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: President Barack Obama

There was no anger. Just disappointment that the president could sink so low. O'Reilly always had too good of an opinion of obama. obama took a flyer on appearing on a little watched Web show solely to plug his failing health care law and lost.

I expect this from a loser. OReilly did not.

O'Reilly at Fox a concern troll lol

Obama Wins on 'Between Two Ferns' : The New Yorker
The greatest joke, however, may be on Bill O’Reilly. He certainly considers himself to be a serious newsman, but the truth of the matter is that Obama appeared with him on Fox for the same reason that he appeared with Galifianakis on the Internet: because he had something to plug. In both cases, it was the Affordable Care Act. In February, it was damage control after the disastrous rollout. On Tuesday, it was in a more neutral capacity, as hopeful spokesman. In each case, it was a form of public performance. O’Reilly has, over the years, mastered his own brand of high-art concern trolling, especially in regards to the President. Near the end of this year’s Super Bowl interview, he said, taking a conciliatory tone following a heated line of questioning, “I know you think maybe we haven’t been fair, but I think your heart is in the right place.” Obama responded with one of those taxed but persistent smiles required of politicians before and after Abraham Lincoln who have had to sit through all manners of nonsense in order to communicate their policy goals to the American people.

When you can't win Presidential elections, have the communications arm of the GOP be a  concern troll

So is this the new normal? Republicans hang on by getting ignorant white voters to vote for Republicans in the midterms? Hilarious, Republicans wanting to end Medicare and Social Security but tricking the GOP base into believing it's the Democrats who are the "threat". Republicans lying to their base that Democrats want to cut 700 million from Medicare while trying to put together a package that would send 60,000,000,000.00 dollars to the Ukraine. The tards that vote GOP will suffer the most and they will get what they deserve. Good luck. They're gonna need it!

can the left get any more petty?

hold on because I'm sure they can and WILL

yawn yawn

Obama has demeaned and belittled the office he holds. He's better suited as a clown than a President.

Lincoln was known for his bawdy humor by his close friends.

Yet again Oliely shows he writes books about things he knows nothing about

Can you imagine FDR sitting down with Abbott and Costello and doing a funny skit to sell his New Deal?
FDR had more dignity for the position.

The author of that Salon.com article is Joan Walsh.

She is the perfect embodiment of a frustrated old woman, a typical old "Angry Grandma".

She is permanent member of the choir that sings the same tune on all the MSNBC evening Republican bashing shows, whose combined audience could not match just one edition of the O'Reilly Factor.

Anyone paying any attention to that angry old witch has trouble with reality.

neither of the Obama's knows about dignity to the office of President and First lady
they are loving the spotlight and the perks is about all
but what would you expect from a couple whose whole life consisted of being nothing but community agitators who was showered with, oh how wonderful you both are...

it's been embarrassing and just downright awful watching and having them in action

Uh....actually, 2013 was the 12th consecutive year for Fox News as the most-watched cable news network among both total viewers and age 25-54 viewers...for both primetime and 'total day' ratings.

My but you are full of shit.

the poor dear is such a sheep...if she left the herd she probably would be eaten alive

It's a logical progression for the lefty scum, low info dopes.

When you defend a married sitting president who gets caught lying about getting blow jobs in the Oval Office from a young White House intern, the bar hasn't been lowered. They've set it on the ground.
