Shimon Perez the Israeli former prime minister and president who shared a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve the long-running conflict with the palestinians suffered a stroke and was hospitalized on Tuesday, his office said.

Mr. Peres, 93, was initially reported and wish him all the best. to be in stable condition and conscious, but doctors later sedated him and put him on a respirator to breathe.

I hope he recovers and wish him all the best.

Well 94 years old is no spring chicken

May be he lived so long precisely because he didn't have a wife that pestered him all day!;) :dunno:

The body is put on pause with minimal energy use. Slows the heart and brain functions and avoids/reduce further bleeding.

This is true. My grandfather went almost immediately after my grandmother died.
