IT's a very poor parallel. The biggest danger to the wall is here in the US with the corrupt politicians who are on the receiving end of the cartel money. The invaders do not have military dominance like the mongols did over the Chinese empiric forces. In fact If I was Mexico I would worry more about the opposite happening.
