First of all....China has no population density problem whatsoever. Changing their immigration policy will bring them no benefit in any way.

Russia absolutely does take immigrants however, they are not allowed to freeload so many choose not to go there.

Japan might be a different story...they are actually experiencing a population collapse. It remains to be seen whether or not Immigration is the answer for them.

The issue with the U.S is the type of immigrant you accept and the manner (illegally).

Nothing against those hard working Mexicans who come to America, G-d bless them. They needed to enter legally though, and, low skill labor isn't in demand.

Italians and Irish came to America in the 20s and beyond. They worked their asses off and brought with them valuable skills from their home country. Be it in construction or carpentry etc.

Many Mexicans bring these skills too I suppose, but, they didn't enter legally.

By the way, Biden is partially correct. Asian nations refused to accept immigrants and Japan in particular is paying a price as their aging population needs supports. They are admitting they need to embrace more immigration to assist in their economy.

All these nations make it difficult for top talent to go and more importantly stay there. This is a big mistake. China was wise to attract top talent, but then make it difficult to become a citizen and call their new country "home".

This is quite unwise in the long run in the new, global economy driven by innovation etc.
