Flight Simulators

DCS looks good--I got the basic free version
but you have to keep paying, right??
I'd like to check out their Normandy pack
supposedly you can control ground units also?
this sounds awesome, but are there many players on the server?

I loved Microsoft Flight Sims
there was a site where you could download just about any aircraft--for free
and they also had terrain/carriers/campaigns/battles/etc for free
from all the different wars
the amount of downloads was amazing
I think it was Simviation
I was thinking about getting MSFS/MSCFS/etc again just for this site
we had some good multiplayer battles with MS Combat Flight Sim
or we would land on the Ark Royal and chat

right now I'm busy and not much time anymore for PC action
I'd get a FPS before the Flight SIms, but I don't have much time for any
...I remember in the late 90s or so, my brother brought me a CD with WW2 Europe Air animation 'with aircraft 'information''
..they had the sounds and aircraft on the airfields
very nice

Falcon 4 is an oldie classic. There’s addons from 3rd parties that take it to an even higher level.

I remember my first PC game --Panzer Commander--it had a huge manual
so did MSCFSim
I had B-17 Flying Fortress --that was a sim when you had to just start the engines
I barely got through just getting the engines started there was so much to do

B-17 was good as you could play any crew member.
