The Obamas like to take their kids on vacation when they are out of school. This means Christmas break, spring break and summer vacations. It's part of being good parents to spend time with your kids.

No offense, but being in the fishbowl of the White House would drive anyone to drink.

I think it's good if she and the kids get out of Washington, but I don't think we should always have to pay for it. Yes, we should pay for their SS protection, but not the trips. They have a tax-free expense account. Once they go over that, they need to spend only their own money.
