'Fierce' ISIS Fighters Surrender en Masse

Thank you obama for getting muslims to fight off their Isis enemies instead of having us do it.

If it was up to the cons , our boys would've been on the front line .
Why are you thanking that last idiot from the oval office? All he did was follow Bush's plan.

Except he yanked our troops out of there which led to ISIS growing and
becoming a threat. Then he dragged his feet for 2 years before getting
our forces back in there.

I suppose we'll have to hear the tale, that we pulled our troops out because
the Iraqi Government would not grant us permission to stay or protect
our troops from Iraqi Law. I gotta tell ya...there is still no agreement in
place with the Iraqi Government. Our forces went back in there to keep
Iraq from enlarging Iran. Plus what will the Iraqi's do if we protect our
men from then. Ya think they want to pick a fight with us?

We set up Iraq wh all they needed . Not our fault their leaders decided to f things up and go back to sect BS. That allowed Isis to thrive .
We did. We even gave them TONS of military heavy equipment & weapons which then fell into ISIS's hands as Obama sat and watched them march across the desert with all of it.

A good American president would have bombed them convoys to smithereens rather than watching all that equipment goto terrorists in Syria

Obama ran on getting troops out . Let's say it was following bushs plan . Fact is cons fought against it all the way .
Because it wasn't done properly. Just like Bush fucked up the prosecution of the war, Obama fucked up the exit.

ISIS Fighters, Having Pledged to Fight or Die, Surrender en Masse

What happened to their pledge?

Why wasn't this done before 2017?

DIBIS, Iraq — The prisoners were taken to a waiting room in groups of four, and were told to stand facing the concrete wall, their noses almost touching it, their hands bound behind their backs.

More than a thousand Islamic State fighters passed through that room this past week after they fled their crumbling Iraqi stronghold of Hawija. Instead of the martyrdom they had boasted was their only acceptable fate, they had voluntarily ended up here in the interrogation center of the Kurdish authorities in northern Iraq.

For an extremist group that has made its reputation on its ferociousness, with fighters who would always choose suicide over surrender, the fall of Hawija has been a notable turning point. The group has suffered a string of humiliating defeats in Iraq and Syria, but the number of its shock troops who turned themselves in to Kurdish officials at the center in Dibis was unusually large, more than 1,000 since last Sunday.

President Obama's strategy regarding degrading and destroying Isis and it's supporters was 80% complete when he left office. Now it's just mopping up the stragglers.

What is it about Arabs that make people want to bow?

At least Bush didn't bow. You don't have to if you swap spit.

15+ years of babysitting was enough . Time to let the Mid East fight for its own fate . We can't do it for them.

ISIS thugs aren't soldiers or fighters. They are a rag-tag bunch of murderers who were either forced into ISIS service or decided that the living was easier as a rapist and pillager than the hardscrabble life in Obama's home country.

These thousands of ISIS soldiers that are surrendering represent less than 20% of all ISIS soldiers?

Fascinating...I thought that when Trump took office, ISIS had control of a substantial portion of Iraq....I guess I was wrong. Obama apparently obliterated was just too humble to mention it.

We should have destroyed all of it once we knew it was in the enemies hands.
There were convoys of US military equipment streaming across the desert headed for Syria. And we LET THEM have it. A handful of bombs from the US military could have prevented it. Be them from a drone or a jet, matters not.
Those weapons will inevitably kill many innocent people if they haven't already.

Well they don't have Obama telling them when and where we will be bombing.

It was. The desert is mostly deserted. There was footage shown of them driving across the desert with our weapons and we did nothing.
Just like how we LET THEM steal the oil because we didn't want to kill the truck drivers in the tankers.

Complete stupidity

a little------he presents a RESOLUTE DEMEANOR which
Obama did not. I do not blame Obama for his tentative
nature-----he was not reared in New York City. As to the
situation in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Turkey, Qatar, Iran,
etc--------it is islam and baathism and shiitism. The best
approach is a combination of wait it out and undercut our
specific enemies. Baathism and Iran and Isis and
Al queida
