In practice, virtually all resettlement offices also provide a variety of services to other immigrant, minority, and vulnerable communities alongside refugees, and assist refugees beyond the first months of resettlement. Over the past few decades, a lot of refugee resettlement offices around the US have closed for lack of funding. I understand the anger that some people have about illegal aliens, but refugees have to have their status determined by an immigration judge. Not sure why you'd be pissed at them.

Taxpayer cost. They should not be allowed into the general population until they are cleared by the courts. Also, I think we should limit the number to 500/yr. I am sure we could save more money by housing them on an island off the coast at those numbers until they are properly vetted.
