The economy will probably be humming by 2016 as the housing and debt excesses get cleared out. And whomever will be President is going to take credit for it, and all their supporters will use it as evidence that their policies are working though their policies will have little to do with the recovery.

Good point. That's certainly a possibility. I've been having a difficult time predicting the next big economic collapse. I had originally thought it might happen in the 2015/16 timeframe, but now I'm not so sure. This is going to be one wild ride.

We'll have to make the $16 Trillion debt and the $50-100 Trillion promises to Social Security & Medicare small numbers through dollar devaluation so the debts can be paid back. Yep, the dollar will be killed. Then the government will come out and say they had nothing to do with it and it was the 'free' market that was the problem. (Same old crap.)
