In a legal battle with 3 doctors, the FDA told a court that their agency recognizes a doctor's authority to prescribe Ivermectin to treat Covid. That's it. The FDA has not endorsed or authorized Ivermectin for use as a treatment for COVID-19. In fact the FDA has given the recommendation that Ivermectin not be used to treat COVID at all. The FDA doesn't have the right, however, to actually command doctors not to use a drug, and that is what they stated.
