There are such things and devices on Twitter/X called "Community Notes".
Where anything can be labeled as disinformation regardless of who is saying it. It is governed by an algorithm.

Even MSM News outlets like NBC have had their posts on X tagged with community notes.

So...where MSM severely lags news events by a day or more X is usually up to the very minute with newsworthy events. (If you happen to have those sorts of things in your feed) Then there are the live discussions that can be broadcast during the event....like when Prigozhin was starting his Coup in Russia....they were watching and reporting Kilometer by kilometer his progress towards Moscow.

Of course there's tons of propaganda on X....it's a truly Free speech platform. But that does not negate the truth as well being broadcast.

Of course most people tune in to what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. Personal discipline and critical analysis of reports are not arcane skills. But just because many people are idiots who swallow conspiracy theories wholesale doesn't mean that free speech platforms are worthless.

I didn't know that they even had explicit content until someone told me.
Then one day I fixed my filters to allow "sensitive " posts (war posts) and it popped up.
