Exposed: The Right Wing's Fake 1967 Israeli Borders "Controversy"

The borders pre-1967 left Isreal undefensible.

Yet they had no problem defending them.

You obviously didn't watch the video, yet still decide to post your ignorant, failed talking posts.

Every Prime Minister of Israel since the 60's has reaffirmed this. As soon as you say "1967 borders" nothing else you say matters. I don't really know how to explain it to you.

Maybe this will do it. If Netenyahu had opened his remarks with the word "******" instead of "Mr. President", nothing else that he said would have meant anything. There are certain concepts and words that are just beyond consideration and this is one of them.

Israel's neighbors are actively attacking it on a daily basis. Every day. They never stop. They never take a day off. The 1967 borders create a national width of 7 miles in some areas. This is not an interesting debating term to the Jews. It is life and death.

The first wingnut chimes in exactly on cue and as predicted!

Hey wingnut: refute what he says not who he is.

Nothing Crazy Larry says is of any interest to me. I suspect that you and the three other people that watch his show hang on every lie he tells.

So, you would not care if George W Bush said the same thing? Well, he did. He said the very same thing that Obama said. But there was no outrage from the right. Don't look at the video, because it will prove you to be a dogmatic fool, denying facts. Wait, I just defined the far right, didn't I?

Nixon also said the same thing. It doesn't matter who says it. It's always wrong.

Okay, Lawrence O'Donnel is full of crap.

What he conveniently left out.

Sure, Clinton talked a good game with the Palestinians.

But when a Palestinian State was put on the Table for Arafat he walked away.

The Palestinians are NEVER going to agree to a State as long as Israel exists.

That's Number one.

Number 2: Lawrence is trying to split hairs.

Bibi did NOT say what Obama said.

He CLEARLY SAID the 1967 borders are not defensible.

"Agreed swaps" doesn't mitigate the 1967 border if you are starting from that point (the point of the 1967 borders).

Bibi said NO.

Bibi went on to say, sure there will have to a negotiated border with some settlements beyond Israel's border, but the swaps aren't going to start with the 1967 border.

O'Donnel can claim otherwise, and I'm sure liberals lap it up, because they want to believe Bibi didn't humiliate Obama, BUT THAT IS FAR TOO OBVIOUS.

Number 3, WHAT IS BULLSHIT THAT YOU COULDN'T SAY "PALESTINIAN STATE DURING THE CLINTON ADMIN?????"

That's BS! Clinton talked all the time about it. Sure it was criticized, BUT IT STILL IS!

I remember the talks the Clinton admin had with Arafat. Clinton did everything but bend over and kiss Arafat's ass. Arafat wasn't going to agree to a state unless he got all of Israel. That much was obvious!

And Bush wasn't criticized for talking Palestinian State? Yes he was!

O'Donnel is spinning the whole thing into a parallel reality.

I'm sure you libs lap it all up like the usual kool-aid you drink but it just doesn't fit in with reality.

My evidence:

YOU FRIGIN IDIOTS! DIDN'T YOU SEE THE REST OF THE VIDEO? Bush, the king of the Neocons, said the very same thing. WHAT A BUNCH OF HYPOCRITES!

Sorry, but you'll have to watch the video.

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu feigned outrage over President Obama's suggestion that Israel and Palestine borders should be based on 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps. Then in Netanyahu's congressional address yesterday, he made that same suggestion. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell has more in the Rewrite.

Lawrence O'Donnell's Very Smart Take On The Right Wing's Fake 1967 Israeli Borders "Controversy"

YouTube - ‪Lawrence O'Donnell's Very Smart Take On The Right Wing's Fake 1967 Israeli Borders "Controversy"‬‏

First, let's face one truth. Politics on BOTH sides of the aisle is often about posturing. There's a certain amount of "feigned outrage" that goes on by both Democrats and Republicans. With that said, modern-day conservatives blatantly employ disinformation and false propaganda so liberally (no pun intended), that I can't help but get the impression that they're afraid of the truth because it doesn't really support their arguments very often.

For example, I heard radio host Mike Gallagher claim this last week that Joplin, MO was COMPLETELY distroyed. Really? The damage and destruction is an area of about 5 square miles, and Joplin is about 40 square miles. Plus Joplin is bordered by several communities that are not within Joplin city limits. Gallagher was stating this false information in an attempt to discredit Obama for not coming back to the country after an American city was completely destroyed.

It's disgusting what they do. And more than that, it's just plain sad that a once honorable political party has been hijacked by so many dishonorable men (and women).

Awfully sensitive about the issue ain't we lefties? The truth is that Netanyahu made mincemeat out of the former community activist both face to face and before congress. Come on lefties, you know MSNBC is a fawning drooling supporter of B. Hussein. Larry O'Donnell would say anything in Obama's defense. The equally fawning A.P. seemed confused. They offered about half a dozen various defense stories in about 24 hours. The president skipped town on a convenient jaunt to the "auld sod" so he wasn't around for questions (as usual).

I really hate the idea of the U.S. and our politicians being led around by the nose by another country.

You might want to check which country your loyalties lie with.

Lawrence O'Donnell's full of it. He's pretending not to be aware of the difference between the United State's and Israel's formal position with regard to the 1947 Armistice in principle and their historic, political position with respect to strategic concerns.

The reason Obama screwed up isn't just because of what he said, it's because of his failure to take everything into account when he said it.

The problem is Obama was very unclear, as usual, about what he meant. He tries to sound intelligent by talking in an indirect manner, and the result is total confusion.

Saying 1967 borders as a starting point is BS from the start. Then he attempts to hedge this SNAFU by saying "mutually agreed swaps". The fact is Israel won't even acknowledge the 1967 borders as a starting point because they are indefensible.

I don't care how some media talking-head tries to spin and re-explain what Obama "REALLY MEANT" after the fact. He should have been more clear from the beginning. Add to that the knowledge that Obama has people in his administration that are friends with Hamas.....I'm sorry, Israel must assume the worst out of a need for survival. They can't trust a President that hates them and continually sides with their enemies.

The stare-down and the rolling eyes act Obama pulled when the Israeli President was talking to the press was an insult . I saw it and I couldn't believe it. It was despicable.
He tried to hide it by placing his hand on his cheek, but the cameras caught it. You should have seen the video. Obama was rolling his eyes like he was gonna be sick or something. Maybe taking a crap in his pants.....and it obviously irked Netanyahu. It's very obvious why the Brits used the codename "Smart-Alec" for Obama while he was in the UK.

Obama+Israeli+PM+Netanyahu+Meet+White+House+3YBFtKWn_pWl.jpg

just look at the expression on his face in this one picture, obie doodle hates BN, but we knew that when BN was at the WH the first time and left to sit in his room without a dinner invitation. How low class is obie doodle gonna get?

You're assuming a lot in your analysis. :cuckoo:
Well, she wants America to fail, as she says in her sigline, so we can't expect her to have any loyalty toward our nation.

But she'll keep on cashing those gummint checks!

Yes, they will.

Instead, they will attack Lawrence O'Donnell.

I ignore EVERYTHING that Crazy Larry, the admitted Socialist says.

It's what desperate people do, Mustang. They know that facts, demographics, and reality are against them, and their days are numbered.

That's why you see all these efforts to limit voting rights in all GOP-controlled states.

The only way they can win is by stacking the deck.

If you think either party, or any faction or group of anything has a monopoly on hyperboly, you're just a tad to narrowly focused.

Netanyahu apologized to the older members of Congress for giving a speech to the joint chambers which forced them to listen to most of it on their feet.

There are a number of great leaders in the world today. Chile's president is impressive. Netanyahu. Sarkosi.

Seriously. Is the Big 0 the best we can do?

Demanding proof of identity is limiting the PRIVILEDGE to vote? There are age limitations, criminal records can remove the priviledge, being a citizen seems like a pretty good component in the mix.

Waht are the efforts outside of proving the qualifications that you speak of?
