Remember there were a lot of failed messiahs , the fable of jesus is one in a long list

It is probable that Jesus was a manic-depressive. He said he was the light of the world (John 9:5) and the only way to God (John 14:6) and the unique Son of God (John 17). That is the sign of severe mania. He was unnaturally full of himself. Even if it were true, we would expect him to let others say he was this great being instead of him trying to convince him. If he really had the power to influence people through using the Holy Spirit he did not need to make such declarations.

The rabbis and leaders considered Jesus to be insane and we must remember that they were the counselors and psychologists of their day. You don’t need to be a professional to judge somebody insane and nobody can deny that we don’t have the right to accuse these people of not intelligently and honestly believing that Jesus was crackers. People with a good talent for rational thinking and rational habits have as much right as psychiatrists to judge somebody insane for insanity is in essence simply a failure to see or like reality. Jesus own family believed that he was mad (Mark 3:21) and they could hardly be accused of being unfair to him for they were deeply ashamed of him which proves they really sincerely believed he was mad. Also they were so sure, they even brought scorn and stigma on themselves by admitting they believed Jesus was mad to everyone.

SO the christian religion is based on a bat shit crazy character

Have you conferred with your colleagues, Herr Doktor Professor? A second opinion is needed here.

Wouldn't Jesus have had to actually existed to be crazy as his story written parents declared he was?
So that would make the followers of questionable sound mind or intellect since a story character has no mentao state but that which the readers give the character.
Since they give the character super human power and have no faith in the ability of man then where is it any
different then the ancient alien believers who also give mankind no credit for their own achievements and try to give powers to made up entities outside that human potential?

Oh please! Its a valid point.

The gospels do say numerous times that many people, including his own family, thought that Jesus was either insane or posessed by a devil . Probably had something to do with him claiming to conform to the divine commands while openly defying the literal letter of the law and claiming to be the Holy One of God while running around partying with sinners and prostitutes, not to mention all that talk about raising the dead, giving sight to the blind, I came down from heaven, I am living bread, eat my flesh, etc..

How do you resolve this ?

If Jesus was not crazy what is the sane explanation for him saying that if a person eats his flesh and drinks his blood they will never know what it is to die?

What is his flesh and how can one eat it? How is it possible for a person to not die?

Why would we expect that? Because you say so? When you're the Son of God and you're on a mission to bring people back to The Father, you say what you got to say, dude.

And when did you decide that manic depressives somehow have the ability to attract thousands of people at a time? Who was the last manic depressive that you liked to hang out with?

I have to say, his approach in unique. Usually all religions and even those not religious recognize the greatness of the Biblical Jesus and admire him.

But then there was guno.............

Votto, you mean all those things plagiarized from the Torah that a Rabbi would be teacing in reflection of?
But what about the other teachings like the characters baal worship teachings of seeds and harvest and physical light? Or to hate your parents and disabled people? Or his speach not tobring peace but division and a world expliding and melting away, Sounds like Hitler to me.

Guno, you condemn the Lord and defend his killers. What has made you the way you are?

It is Jesus who is the God of the Torah. Your misunderstanding of Jesus' teachings leads you to the conclusion that he was like Hitler? You and Guno should get together and pat each other on the back.
