It has nothing to do with being whitewashed or anything like that. In fact, it is a positive form of national identification, and protection of one's interests.
There are millions and millions of Americans who aren't white. I simply fail to see how it is in my or their interest to be swamped by the world.
You people realize you are Americans, right? And not Mexican or Chinese or Puerto Rican or Indian or whatever else it may be? If you consider yourself to be those, then you are free to move back to your own country!
You cannot simultaneously be an American and belong to another country as well. You are trying to have it both ways, have your cake and eat it too. Sorry but many of us are getting tired of it.
