ENTANGLING ALLIANCES: Saudis Keep Changing Their Strory -- What Should We Do?...

Some pretty smart folks warned us about entangling alliances back in the day. Our Government should have listened. Considering evil nations like Saudi Arabia 'Close Friends', is selling the American soul to the Devil.

Good article by Ron Paul.

The Saudi version of the disappearance and murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi seems to change every day or so. The latest is the Saudi government claim that the opposition journalist was killed in a “botched interrogation” at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Or was it a fist-fight? What is laughable is that the Saudi king has placed Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a prime suspect, in charge of the investigation of Khashoggi’s murder!

Though the official story keeps changing, what is unlikely to change is Washington’s continued relationship with Saudi Arabia. It is a partnership that is in no way beneficial to Americans or the US national interest.

President Trump has promised “severe punishment” if the Saudi government is found to have been involved in Khashoggi’s murder, but he also took off the table any reduction in arms sales to prop up the murderous Saudi war on Yemen. It’s all about jobs, said President Trump. So the Saudi killing of thousands in Yemen can go on. Some murders are more important than others, obviously.

The killing of Khashoggi puts the Trump Administration in a difficult situation. President Trump views Iran as designated enemy number one. Next month the US Administration intends to impose a new round of sanctions designed to make it impossible for Iran to sell its oil on the international market. To keep US fuel prices from spiking over this move Trump is relying on other countries, especially Saudi Arabia, to pump more and make up the difference. But the Saudis have threatened $400 oil...

The Saudis Keep Changing Their Story on the Murder of Khashoggi. What Should We Do?

As far as the Saudi story of what happened to Khashoggi, it has changed more times since the story broke than I change underwear in a week. It's like the Trump Tower story; those details & version of events have changed about 15 times since that story broke.

Trump has deep financial ties to the Saudis going back many years.
Trump does NOT care if his financial interests are tied to brutality & murder, just as long as Trump's interests remain intact.
Trump has demonstrated he has absolutely no problem making light of sexual assault victims that have been traumatized.
Now, Trump accepts the murder of a reporter (we ALL know Trump HATES reporters) and it's all good.
Why, just the other day Trump was praising that idiot from Montana, Gianforte, for body slamming a reporter.
Trump continues to demonstrate that he is the most amoral POTUS in modern history; possibly the most amoral POTUS ever.

Hitler would be proud.

Yes; the US Government & Saudi Arabia have been partners in the energy sector going back to the early/mid 1930s with the Standard Oil deal. I am aware of the history.

My opinion concerning Trump & the Saudis is spot on.

The first thing is that we need to find a body and then complete an investigation

WHY?

It happened in a foreign nation to a foreigner.

How the fuck is this our problem? Parroting media bs doesn't make it true.

THIS ISN'T OUR PROBLEM. ONE FOREIGNER IS NOT WORTH THIS MUCH BULLSHIT

You're just obsessing on hating Trump. But as i said, the 'Close Friendship' with Saudi Arabia has existed long before Trump came along.

Those stupid ragheads murder people DAILY. This man is no more important than any of the others.
And you people just make it worse by regurgitating the "news" over and over.

Hes dead. Not our problem. Move on to things that impact everyday Americans and end this POINTLESS propaganda campaign

Now i'm hearing he had close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood. And that could explain the Left's over-the-top hysteria. Left/Democrat leaders like Obama and Clinton are big Muslim Brotherhood supporters. They tried to put it in power in Egypt, but the Egyptian People said no, and booted it. It looks like the Prince viewed the reporter as a threat to national security. The Muslim Brotherhood is still well-supported.

Nah, you only obsess on hating Donald Trump. That's why your responses are knee-jerk irrational. The close US/Saudi relationship is much bigger than just one US President.

It's being reported. It would explain the Left's over-the-top hysteria, and the Prince's motivation for killing the man. The Left has always supported the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is still none of our business. We aren't going to investigate anything. We will be told. Like it or lump it.

I do not obsess concerning Trump; he has demonstrated for decades he is contemptible.
Beside, I have better things to do with my emotions than to offer 'hate' to anyone.
You however seem pretty hung up on the whole 'hate' concept; you keep bringing up 'hate.'
Your obsession with 'hate' seems fairly irrational IMO.

So, do you like the fact that the US government cozies up to Wahhabi terrorists from Saudi Arabia?

OUR government should be above such.

More knee-jerk irrational ranting. Did you read the article? Give it a shot.

It is very revealing that Trump doesn't call the Saudis on their bullshit. He didn't hesitate to make fun of a sexual assault victim, "Where was the party? I don't know..."

But the Saudis show up in force with a bone saw, and then claim the reporter's death was an "accident", and Trump doesn't call them out? Really?

He's always had a thing for thugs.
His number one priority is to not disrupt the trump family business arrangements that he has with the Saudis.
