Some pretty smart folks warned us about entangling alliances back in the day. Our Government should have listened. Considering evil nations like Saudi Arabia 'Close Friends', is selling the American soul to the Devil.

Good article by Ron Paul.

The Saudi version of the disappearance and murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi seems to change every day or so. The latest is the Saudi government claim that the opposition journalist was killed in a “botched interrogation” at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Or was it a fist-fight? What is laughable is that the Saudi king has placed Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a prime suspect, in charge of the investigation of Khashoggi’s murder!

Though the official story keeps changing, what is unlikely to change is Washington’s continued relationship with Saudi Arabia. It is a partnership that is in no way beneficial to Americans or the US national interest.

President Trump has promised “severe punishment” if the Saudi government is found to have been involved in Khashoggi’s murder, but he also took off the table any reduction in arms sales to prop up the murderous Saudi war on Yemen. It’s all about jobs, said President Trump. So the Saudi killing of thousands in Yemen can go on. Some murders are more important than others, obviously.

The killing of Khashoggi puts the Trump Administration in a difficult situation. President Trump views Iran as designated enemy number one. Next month the US Administration intends to impose a new round of sanctions designed to make it impossible for Iran to sell its oil on the international market. To keep US fuel prices from spiking over this move Trump is relying on other countries, especially Saudi Arabia, to pump more and make up the difference. But the Saudis have threatened $400 oil...

Can't say I give a shit.

It happened in SA so its their problem. Let them solve it.

What we should do, and what Trump will do are very different things. We already know how this will play out, so no point in speculating.

The dirty little secret is that democrats were desperate to turn it into an international incident impacting the U.S. economy no matter what the cost. The first thing is that we need to find a body and then complete an investigation without phony outrage and displays of fake emotion.

I just hope there's no violence. Soros and Democrats want that, but it would be terrible for our country. It's certainly no coincidence their arrival at the US Border is expected to be just in time for the Midterm Elections. Hopefully they'll be turned back with no violence.
Derailing your own thread. What a retard. We both know you’re celebrating this journalist’s murder anyways.

And seriously reconsider our close relationship with Saudi Arabia.

It would have been faster for you to write “I support Saudi Arabia’s murderous dictatorship.”

Look the other way and pretend that Ragheads aren’t all fucked up in the head...just like we always do?

It is very revealing that Trump doesn't call the Saudis on their bullshit. He didn't hesitate to make fun of a sexual assault victim, "Where was the party? I don't know..."

But the Saudis show up in force with a bone saw, and then claim the reporter's death was an "accident", and Trump doesn't call them out? Really?

He's always had a thing for thugs.

Depends, if Obama was President we would barely hear about this...certainly not be getting the ridiculous 24hr coverage it is getting now. The media would say it is bad, a few panel discussions and that is it. So - you wouldn't care enough about this to ask the question.

But it is Trump as President, so the media is covering this as if it is the single biggest foreign crises in history. Even though it pales in comparison to any number of foreign crises during Obama's presidency.
So, since it is Trump... you expect dramatic, swift solution that the media can tear apart saying how terrible it was.

Trump has proven he has no intention of draining the swamp.

In fact, he has added a lot of acreage.

He's actually threatened sanctions. That's a much harsher approach than any other US President has ever expressed in regards to Saudi Arabia. Now, will anything actually come of that? Probably not. Fat greedy Americans are addicted to those low gas prices. The reality is, you upset Saudi Arabia, you pay higher gas prices. It is what it is.

Oh yeah, and now i'm hearing the reporter had close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. So that explains the Left's over-the-top reaction to it. US Left/Democrat leaders like Obama and Clinton, are big Muslim Brotherhood supporters.

I'm certainly not justifying killing the man, but it's possible the Saudi Prince viewed him as serious threat to national security. The Muslim Brotherhood still has a heavy presence in the Middle East.
