."Hitler appeared on the cover of TIME on multiple occasions — most famously perhaps on Jan. 2, 1939, when he was named Man of the Year. That choice abided by the dictum of TIME founder Henry Luce, who decreed that the Man of the Year — now Person of the Year — was not an honor but instead should be a distinction applied to the newsmaker who most influenced world events for better or worse. In case that second criterion was lost on readers, the issue that named Hitler dispensed with the portrait treatment that cover subjects typically got. Instead he was depicted as a tiny figure with his back to the viewer, playing a massive organ with his murdered victims spinning on a St. Catherine’s wheel.

Yeah, Musk as person of the year is feasible.

On Hitler’s “Man of the year” cover he was depicted as a tiny figure with his back to the viewer, playing a massive organ with his murdered victims spinning on a St. Catherine’s wheel.
Underneath the stark, black-and-white illustration was the caption, “From the unholy organist, a hymn of hate.”
Given the hundreds-of-thousands of deaths caused by trump’s intentional mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with his strong penchant for hate-filled rhetoric, had trump been Times “person of the year” during the final year of his administration, the same cover with a simple change to an orange clump of hair on the organist’s head could have been published.
Also, the same caption as that used in 1939, “From the unholy organist, a hymn of hate.” would have been equally appropriate.

he likely lost money taking the time to do the photoDoes anyone really care? I wonder if Musk even cares.

Elon Musk Is TIME's 2021 Person of the Year
Visionary. Showman. Iconoclast. Troll. How Elon Musk is reshaping our world—and beyondtime.com
That's on the government. Fuck them. From massive government scratch.
the prize is not allowed to go to a Republican, didn't ya know!I strongly disagree!!! It should have been a joint recognition of Pence and the Capital Police for saving our democracy from an armed coup attempt.
Why?A joke pick from a joke magazine.
YesBorn in Pretoria South Africa. Would you call him an "African American"?
The left is mad it wasn’t Harris, so now Time is a joke, well it is but still…Pocahontas says Musk is a freeloader. But which of the two has created new innovations, new products, new wealth, new possibilities for the future? One’s a visionary; the other is a professional fake who cashed in on pretending to be a Native American. What a contrast!
