If we take homicides at face value without delving into why and how each one happened we can't begin to recognize signs and red flags in people with similar proclivities. To ignore that would be nuts or loony.

Gang related homicides are dismissed as such without much ado; but, when law abiding citizens of any race are massacred, especially in a church prayer meeting, that warrants some type of an explanation.
