The concept of a one government world is not a twentieth century invention. Ancient conquerors like Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, et al. were the first globalists. The concepts of global government and individual liberties marched side by side throughout history; neither one gaining complete dominance over the other.
NOTE: The vast majority of average people will be no better off under a global government in the modern world than they were when they were conquered militarily. They will probably be worse off because they had value as slaves in the ancient world; whereas, today’s global government advocates are planning genocide for many of the conquered.
National governments substituted for global government while individual liberties were catch as catch can until after the American Revolution. Few realize it, but global government suffered its greatest setback at the hands of America’s Founding Fathers although they probably did not think of it that way.
Global government launched a counterattack with the League of Nations a little more than a century after the Bill of Rights was ratified. Individual liberties were being whittled away by Socialists/Progressives on the national level before Woodrow Wilson championed global government, but it was the League of Nations and its successor the United Nations that moved the conflict out of the philosophical and gave it form.
Global government conspirators always knew that most people understand that global government and individual liberties cannot coexist. So denying there is a well-funded, well-organized, effort to establish a global government became necessary in spite of the evidence:

1. The United Nations.

3. United Nations “peacekeepers.”
4. US military personnel loyal to, and serving, the United Nations.
5. United Nations taxing authority hidden in every United Nations treaty.
6. A United Nations judiciary administering non-existent International law.
7. The United Nations claiming authority over the atmosphere and the oceans.
8. National leaders repeatedly called world leaders by the media.
9. Foreign and domestic banks bailed out with tax dollars.
10. Open borders wherever possible.
And still useful idiots insist there is no global government conspiracy afoot.
Proof notwithstanding, anybody who points out the long-running global government conspiracy is, in turn, branded a conspiracy theory nut job. I know how it works from experience, but a preemptive strike is a new one on me. Usually, the media waits until global government opponents say something before calling them conspiracy theory nut jobs. Romney has not picked Marco Rubio as his running mate, yet global government conspirators are defending Rubio from those dastardly conspiracy theory ding bats as though he is on the ticket:

Rubio is not eligible. His lack of eligibility is a legitimate objection because it is an attack on the Constitution. It’s not much of a leap going from tearing down the Constitution to implementing a global government.
Based on Rubio’s worldview, conservatives and all Americans should run for the hills if Romney picks Rubio for vice president. Senators are elected to represent their states not influence foreign policy. Senators get to vote on confirming or not confirming a president’s nominees. They also vote for or against a piece of legislation. Rubio’s foreign policy pronouncements are aimed at showing the very influential global government crowd he is on their side.
Not only is Rubio an ideal choice for the global government crowd he is a US Senator. The senate works for the ruling class not the American people. Anybody who thinks that Hispanic-Americans do not know who Rubio is representing is in for a rude awakening when Romney loses Hispanic voters rather than gain them.
