Donald Trump now has an obvious path to a second term

He was/is looking into Ukranian corruption.

Now, please understand that the Dems are saying that the transcript shows they want him investigating a political rival for help in the next
election. He however says he wants investigation into the corruption of the 2016 election. Dems are saying it is a Quid Pro Quo. GOP is
saying the transcript is about corruption. The problem is...the Dems say the transcript doesn't mention the word corruption in it. Guess what?
It also doesn't mention a Quid Pro Quo in it either. The only fact witness has testified that the President wanted nothing. He wanted no
Quid Pro Quo. A 1st year law student could beat that argument.

The Dems are beat and they will be beaten badly.
LOLOL

That is not looking into Ukranian corruption. That was an event which took place nearly 4 years ago. If it was truly corruption Trymp was interested in squashing, he would have asked Zelensky to look into current matters of ongoing actual corruption.

The Dems will have to prove that with a witness or two. Right now they have NONE. I would suggest if you have the info you contact
the DNC headquarters...they need it.
Here's the "witness testimony"...

What the fuck is that?

Are you agreeing with me that there is no evidence of a quid pro quo?
I said Trump solicited a foreign national to investigate a political rival. I didn't say Trump said quid pro quo. Is English not your first language?

That is right and that is a bribe.... GOP are trying to do what they did last time, invent there own law and there own burned of proof of that law...

That treaty requires our Attorney GenGene to make such requests to their Ministry of justice; not our president to their president. And it's to ask for assistance in ongoing investigations; which we didn't have.

And no one said Biden is immune from investigation. Only that Trump can't solicit foreign aid that helps his campaign since there's a law specifically prohibiting such actions. Anyone else not connected with Trump's campaign could have sought such an investigation.

:auiqs.jpg:

Trump is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States. He outranks the attorney, and can make the request.

The request was legitimate. The whine over the political status of Biden is humorous at best.
It matters not that he out ranks the Attorney General, the treaty has provisions. Trump doesn't get to circumvent those provisions because he's the president. Nor does he get to break the law to do so.

Post the pertinent provision barring Trump's request.

ARTICLE 1 SCOPE OF ASSISTANCE
1. The Contracting States shall provide mutual assistance, in accordance with the provisions of this Treaty, in connection with the investigation, prosecution, and prevention of offenses, and in proceedings related to criminal matters.

ARTICLE2 CENTRAL AUTHORITIES
1. Each Contracting State shall have a Central Authority to make and receive requests pursuant to this Treaty.
2. For the United States of America, the Central Authority shall be the Attorney General or a person designated by the Attorney General. For Ukraine, the Central Authority shall be the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

ARTICLE4 FORM AND CONTENTS OF REQUESTS
1. A request for assistance shall be in writing except that the Central Authority of the Requested State may accept a request in another form in urgent situations. If the request is not in writing, it shall be confirmed in writing within ten days unless the Central Authority of the Requested State agrees otherwise. The request shall be in the language of the Requested State unless otherwise agreed.
2. The request shall include the following: (a) the name of the authority conducting the investigation, prosecution, or proceeding to which the request relates;

Yes, a "central authority". That does not preclude the President from making such a request.

How fucking childish. "The rules say you must open your egg at the bottom, not at the top." You'd make a fine Soviet apparatchik.

Most presidents with an economy this strong would have a clear path to a second term.

Trump is not most presidents. Most presidents with this economy would be well above 50 percent approval. Trump struggles to break 40 percent

The biggest problem for Trump is being Trump

No, the biggest problem for Trump is that the MSM is an extension of the Democrat party.

Following the rules is "childish??"

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

You shithead righties crack me up!

The treaty fucking states the Central Authority shall be our Attorney General.

It states the Central Authority shall be the one making the request.

It says their Central Authority, which excludes Zelensky, shall be the one accepting the request.

It states the request shall include the name of the authority conducting the investigation.

None of that occurred. And one more shall stated in the treaty is that the contracting states shall provide mutual assistance "in accordance with the provisions of this Treaty" which Trump didn't abide by.

What is blocking a second term

Poll: Trump Starts Third Year With Low Public Trust

Pew Research Center reported Friday that confidence in the economy is stable but the American public is losing trust in the leader of the free world.

In a survey of 1,500 adults between Jan. 9 through Jan. 14, Pew researchers found that 58 percent of respondents said they trust what Trump says less than previous presidents, which has crept up from 51 percent in February 2017, shortly after Trump took office.

In tandem, 59 percent said the Trump administration’s ethical standards were “not good or poor,” according to the

It's true that in nearly every contested election since 18, when Trump has made himself the central issue, the gop lost. The dems opposition to Kavanaugh may have saved the senate for the gop.

But, given 6 battlegrounds of Mich Pa Fl AZ and NC … even if the dems win Mich and Pa they're still 2 EV's short. I don't really see a path for the dems to win. Unless something changes.

Please, many people don't pay attention to politics that much. I call them Headline Voters. If you don't follow politics, and all you hear about are negatives, what else are you to think?

Watch what happens in the elections and then compare them to the polls you're seeing now and in the future. Of course as always, the polls will show Trump being favorable again starting about two weeks before the day of voting.
