I've noticed that obamas popularity seems to go up whenever he gets things done. It doesn't matter if he goes through the congress or if he finds a way to go around it. His popularity goes up and it seems to go up faster when he uses less democratic methods and if I didn't know any better it would seem that his supporters prefer a less democratic means of doing it. Have you seen how excited his supporters get when he finds a way not to use the democratic process? It just seems like obamabots would prefer a less democratic form of government but don't have the guts to say it out loud.

No, and they don't wait around for a second term to act. As a matter of fact, there is no second term as there is no second election.

Don't tease. Know 435 men and women I'd love to see wearing orange vests alongside a highway picking up liter. Do something useful for a change. :)

FYI - Voters past history explains their present actions and attitudes. I think it's obvious how voters react to Washington politics. In my opinion, nothing else need be said regarding the matter, or the content of your thread.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe people want govt to actually address what they see as problems ... rather than one party or the other simply stone walling the other

that is what they did in Iraq. If you didn't agree with the president they killed you.

Obama just took Bush's comment to the logical conclusion. "It would be easier being a dictator."

Remember how he got tore up over that comment? Now Obama is actually doing it and the left is silent. Just because they can now marry their same sex partners.

Well yeah I guess we did. Problem is he turned out to be the worst fucking dictator ever.

Where are the storm troopers we were promised to subdue the rascally republicans?

How come you're not in a fucking FEMA death camp, opps did I say Death camp, I meant happy place,.....

Don't get me started on dividing up all the wealth of the 1 %, oh wait that would be the Socialist Obama not the Dictator Obama, nevermind........

Looks like we're stuck with that creature till Jesus comes back.
You're stuck with him until his term ends, in a year and a half.
But he has yet to wirte an EO proclaiming himself Dear Leader Forever. I've been expecting that at any moment.

That would be to obvious so we have to do something more subtle such as prosecuting dissenters for crimes but loyalist won't get prosecuted for the same crime. How about investigate opposing political groups with the irs. That should silence anyone. Then we have the loyalist themselves who systematically punishes anyone who disagrees with the president which is why conservatives often face censorship in virtually every media outlet where "liberals" hapoen to have an once of control.

No, I've spent a few years in SE Asia and learned to develop patience.

The way to avoid such things is to not create a power vacuum. The GOP however has done precisely that. And no, it falls short of dictatorship. Feel free to compare/contrast with the last 10 or so POTUSes.
