Democrat judge releases suspect…had stolen AR-15…

Except the gun was stolen in 2018, and probably passed through so many hands they have no idea who took it initially.
It doesn't matter, he was still in possession of a stolen item. If he can't produce a bill of sale, he would go down.

How do you fire a semi automatic rifle unintentionally in a car in a freaking traffic stop? It's likely that the perp was in violation of half a dozen crimes including theft of a firearm before he/she pulled the trigger.

I guess you need some treatment for your OCD.

Point was, the gun was stolen in 2018... so there was no way you could prove it wasn't purchased in good faith. Especially since the National Rampage Association has weakened the laws on private transfers to the point they are meaningless.
If he purchased it in good faith, he can identify who sold it to him. Then the investigation shifts to that person. This goes on and on until not only every person who illegally possessed the rifle (meaning felons) and the original thief is in jail.

Sounds like a lot of effort that could be used going after REAL criminals... but, hey, that's just me.

Sigh. We've been over this.

We lock up 2 million people. We have another 7 million on probation or parole. We have 70 million with police records.

We aren't going to lock up people for merely having a gun when they shouldn't. There's simply no place to put them.
But there is place for Hundreds of J6 ers for years

Absolutely.

Those people tried to overthrow the government.
Most countries would have taken them out and shot them.
In most countries they would have shot the police. This wasn't an attempt top overthrow the government. None of the steps necessary to do that were taken. It was a demonstration that got out of hand. If it really was an attempt to overthrow the government, the news media stations would have been seized, local police stations would have been occupied, National Guard armories would have been seized, nearby military bases like Andrews AFB, Quantico Marine Base and several other would have been either occupied or their commanders subverted. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED>

So your agument is it wasn't a coup because like everything else Trump has ever done, it was grossly incompetent?

We do not have gun crime and gun murder because normal, law abiding people own guns.

We have gun crime and murder because the democrat party needs criminals committing gun crime and murder so the democrats can push gun control…….

CHICAGO — A Milwaukee man faces felony charges after he fired, apparently unintentionally, an AR-15 during a traffic stop on the Magnificent Mile.

Chicago cops pulled Justin Griffin over in the 500 block of North Michigan around 3:30 p.m. on March 19 because they did not see any license plates on his Infiniti sedan, a CPD arrest report said.
——
Prosecutors charged Griffin with reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. The CPD report said officers wanted prosecutors to also charge him with possessing a stolen firearm. However, the Cook County state’s attorney’s office rejected that charge because the rifle was stolen in 2018 and “could have made contact with multiple individuals” since then, the arrest report said.

——
Judge William Fahy denied the state’s petition to keep Griffin in custody pretrial. Instead, the judge decided to release Griffin under a nighttime curfew.

You love your guns. If this guy was white you would be cheering him on.
