I do not want to criticize them personally?
But these stories making anyone upset just force me to ask:
Have you ever made an arrest you felt bad for?
Did you feel bad for a coercion you resorted to?

The articles are written specifically to make you upset. Even without lying, they can present information in such a way so as to trigger reactions in the reader.

Never rely on one source for important information. Get as many as you have time for then see if a consensus about the info has formed.

I know a lot of kids I used to teach that are now cops.

Very unpredictable who will become a cop.

I've had cops ignore weed I know they have to have found, and they even took me to jail until I paid my speeding fine.

But, I know they had to have seen the weed.

Shit, cops were pretty lenient to me as a youth.

Had me dead to rights for underage DUI more times than I can count, and just sent me home.

I am pretty sure cops ignored weed a few times too.

If you don't like cops, best thing you can do is act right and don't need one.

I cannot remember the last time I had to talk to a cop.

I hate it when I see a kid I taught that is now a cop.

At least they have jobs.

I think your post is amusing. Cops flock to the profession because they are eager to bust some heads. Why would they then feel guilty? Thats like asking why pedophiles like being gym teachers.

There will be an adjustment period and it will get rid of all the feral cops. This is a good thing.
